Rosekit awoke to sunlight falling through the leaf tops of the nursery. She gazed around the den until her eyes landed on her only littermate, Scarletkit. The other crimson she-cat slowly stalked over the bramble wall, her gaze focused on a small hole.

"Where do you think your going?" Rosekit glanced over at the rusty brown she-cat approaching. Dustsoul.

"But Dustsoul! I wanna explore!" Scarletkit whined.

Their mother picked Scarletkit and started walking over to their nest. Rosekit instantly closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep. She did not feel like dealing with her littermates energy. Their mother placed her down next to Rosekit. "You know you cant leave till your sister wakes up!"

Scarletkit huffed and rolled her eyes. "Not fair!"

"Your time will come when you can go out on your own. Just wait." Their mother smiled.

"But I don't wanna!" Scarletkit whined yet again, and looked over to Rosekit. "Hey! Get up!" Rosekit suddenly felt a sharp pain in her side, and knew she would have to go play.

"Egh- Hey!" She said, acting like she just woke up.

"Rosekit!" Scarletkit shrieked happily. "Your finally are awake! Can we go play now Dustsoul?"

Dustsoul sighed but nodded, giving up. "Fine."

"Yes!" Scarletkit shrieked, causing Rosekit to flinch. Why did she have to be so loud?

Rosekit scrambled after her sister, excepting her fate. On her way out, she made sure to grab a bundle of moss.
She squinted at the sunlight. It was bright and warmed her pelt. "Come on!" Sclarletkit meowed, bouncing happily.

Rosekit leaped into the air. The sun made it hard to see, but when she swung her paw out she managed to hit it. Scarletkit watched it fly up dashed after it. Her paws thundered as she ran and leaped to hit it back. The small bundle flew high up into the air; so high that the distances she would have to scoot back was even farther that she expected.

It hit the ground.

She sighed, but leaped to her paws and tried again. This time, her paw collided with it so hard that it flew far out of reach and into a bramble thicket.

"Woah!" Scarletkit exclaimed. "That was a great hit!"

Suddenly, a brown tabby burst into camp, which she instantly recognized as Amberdawn. Her eyes were wide, and fresh wounds coated her beautiful fur. "Amberdawn!" Blazestar meowed worriedly. "What happened?!"

"ShadowClan...attacking... too many.." She huffed, her flanks heaving. "We n-" She coughed a bit, but finished her sentence. "We need backup!"

"Spottedwind, Jayflight, Brackenblaze, Meadowbreeze, Fallensnow, and Risingmist!" Blazestar said in a rush. "Go help them."

Spottedwind gave a short nod before blitzing out of camp, and the others right at her tail. She could hear the thundering of paws, even after the backup patrol was gone.

Scarletkit looked out of the camp, focused on either her own thoughts or something random. She did this often.
Rosekit padded over, just to make sure there wasn't a giant badger or something.

Nothing.

"What you thinking about?" She asked carefully, knowing she probably had another one of her mouse brained ideas. Her sister smirked, and in that instant her thoughts had been confirmed.

"I wanna watch the battle."

Rosekit's eyes widened. Why would she want to watch such a horrid thing like that? "No way!" She said, surprised.

"It'll be fun though!" Her sister persuaded.

"Watching our friends and family get hurt?! Is that what you call fun?" Rosekit growled. This was insane!

Scarletkit just rolled her eyes and started walking towards the entrance of camp, her tail and head high."Fine then. If you wont come with me, i'll just have to go by myself."

Rosekit whipped her head from side to side. How was no one seeing this?

Before she could tell anyone, Scarletkit had already left.
