Hazel's POV:

It's been a few days since I shifted. It's been strange but I've been able to help everyone much more. I feel as though there is something I'm missing. Indigo and Pete are tidying up their house all the time and I have some pairs of someone else's clothes in my wardrobe. I bet Matt did something. I'm not sure what but I'll find out soon.

I opened the bedroom door as quietly as I could and closed it behind me. Percy is still fast asleep and I don't want to wake him. Its morning right now. I gently released my wings and flew down the stairs before landing softly. The wings disappeared as if they were never there. I suppose I will never get used to that. I moved my shoulders a bit as I pulled out some bacon from the fridge. I put them on the pan and watched them sizzle. I looked out the window as I listened to the sound of the pan.

I looked at the piece of bacon in my hand, all this work is coming down to this moment. As soon as it touched my lips I started to feast. I've never witnessed anyone who liked bacon as much as me. As I came back into reality I saw my plate, empty as the reflection showed me myself. I smiled as I stood up and dropped the plate into the sink. Once I'm ready I'll meet Dad about Matt.

One shower and hair drying later I seemed to be all ready. I opened the door to the meeting and walked in. Elders, fighters, patrol, healers, witches and almost everyone was inside. They bowed as they saw me and I smiled at them.
"Now as Hazel is here we can discuss the matter at hand. Something has changed, suspicions have led us to Matt and Henry as they might of done something before their deaths." Dad said
Chaos erupted as everyone spoke at once. He slammed his hand off of the table to gain their attention.
"I think I know what's going on." Someone said
We all looked at where the noise was coming from. A witch sat down smiling as she tried to get our attention.
"Another witch has done this, a spell or enchantment must of been cast to make us not realise something that is right in front of us." She said as we all looked at her trying to make sense of what she was saying
"Someone has made us forget." She said
Before anyone could say anything the patrol all jumped to their feet.
"Rouges." They said as they ran out of the room
We all ran out and into the forest all making our way to the border. Whilst the others walked I flew ahead of the others. There was no Rouge's, just a Rouge. I landed on my feet and she looked almost relieved at my company. I had never seen her before but she looked at me as if she had known me her whole life.
"What are you doing here Rouge?" Dad asked her as she suddenly looked very confused and full of dread.
"Uncle Luke this is a joke right?" She said as he growled
"You are no niece of mine, I have never seen you in my life and it's Alpha Luke." He said
"No, I'm your best friend's daughter." She said and pleaded
"A Rouge and a liar." He said
"No! Hazel we are best friends. I would never lie to you." She said as she looked at me
"I'm sorry there must be a mistake, I only have one best friend and that's Belle. You must be confused with somebody else." I said
"Then why did you just lie." She stated
"What?" I said
"Your heart lost pace when you spoke. Your lying." She said
"No I'm not." I said getting confused
"Say it. Say it and let everyone hear it then." She said looking at me
"I only have one best friend and that's Belle." I said to her
The witch colony stepped forth and approached me.
"You need to remember child. We aren't strong enough but your heart is the strongest of them all." She said as she pointed me towards the girl.
