Angelica's P.O.V.

Haldir, Laisidhiel, and me got into the boat that was loaded with our three small packs for our journey there and back.

Haldir got in first and when he offered his hand to help Laishiel in the boat she waved it away and hopped on.

I tried my best to not let the huge grin I had show at the dumbfound face on Haldir. You'd think by being around me and Hostien so long that he would've gotten used to it.

I climbed into the boat as Haldir took up one of the oars. I turned around to see Laishiel with the other oar in her hand.

"Um, are you sure you don't want me to row?" I asked her.

"I'm sure. I might be small but that doesn't mean I'm weak."

"I never said that." I tried not to smile. The oar was almost as big as her but if she wanted to row I wasn't going to stop her.

Although that posed a problem for me since I would be stuck in the middle with nothing to do with my hands. Great.

We started off and waved and I blew a kiss to Hostien who was standing in the door frame of the house. Legolas pretended to catch it and smirked as Hostien elbowed him in the chest. I heard an "omphf" as Legolas held the rib Hostien had gladly injured.

She grinned wide and sent me the kiss back and I smiled and winked at her. Dasia and Orophin were inside so no one would see them. Having said our last little goodbyes I turned my head forward and looked towards the mountain ahead that was our destination.

Haldir and Laishiel were rowing the boat down the river and to Erebor for probably about ten minutes when Haldir commented on Angelica's silence and fidgeting.

"What's wrong Angelica? You miss Legolas already?" Haldir said with a smirk.

Angelica turned her eyes from darting around and punched Haldir lightly but firm in the shoulder.

"Ha ha very funny, and no I do not." She replied dryly.

"Touché. So what's the problem them?"

"I'm bored out of my mind! That's what's the problem! Have absolutely nothing to do except sit in the middle f this boat on a folded up blanket." As you can tell Angelica wasn't necessarily the idle type. Now if she had a good book and nothing bothering her like those spies and their mission she could be happy as a dwarf with its gold.

Haldir laughed at her reason and smiled,"Well I wouldn't say that altogether. Laishiel is bound to need a break soon and you of course are the main negotiator of the group so you have plenty to do in figuring out how to get the dwarves aid."

"That is true, but I doubt it'll be too hard. We're old friends and I'm sure once they hear us they'll give us what we need." said Angelica with more confidence than she felt. As for having a turn at rowing Angelica glanced back hopefully but by the look of determination on Laishiel's face that was not bound to come soon, or ever. Sighing and looking forward again, Angelica thought about how much Laishiel reminded her of Aurathiel back home.

Speaking of which, I wonder how she and Feren are doing at their little mission themselves if the king approved.

~Back in Mirkwood~ (2 days before)

Aurathiel's P.O.V.

Everyone who was going on the trip to help Dasia be hidden had left. They were all on a mission and were determined to succeeded. As was I, on another mission that was related.

I looked and looked but the one I seeked was not to be found. I went down the hallway I had started and put my hands on my hip, with a narrowed determined gaze to find him. I looked at the hallway that branched off into different passages and places thinking which one would he most likely be in that I haven't already checked.

"You need me for something?" A voice whispered in my ear and made me jump and turn around and punch the person.

"Omphf." Feren said as he clutched his guts. "Why'd you do that for?"

I smirked, "It serves you right for sneaking up on me like that. Don't ever do that again or else."

Feren straighten up a bit since he wasn't in as much pain as before. "Or else what?" He said and smirked.

My eyes narrowed dangerously at him. "Do you want me to show you?"

A look of terror passed over Feren's face which satisfied me greatly. I might be small but I am not to be messed with and it seems like he was going to have to learn that the hard way.

"No! I mean um, on second thought never mind. I'm good." He said patting his stomach and wincing forgetting that where I hit him.

I smirked. "Good. So are we going to talk to the King about our mission here or what?" I asked impatiently. I was tired of all this waiting and wanted some action.

"Yeah, yeah. We have plenty of time."

I grabbed his hand boldly and started to drag him with me. He stumbled at the sudden movement but recovered quickly.

"No we don't! We need to get a move on! We have no time to waist with those spies out and about!" Now that he was walking with me and showed no signs of running I let go of his hand. Or at least I thought I did, he didn't seem to get the idea though. When I tried to let go he only held on tighter.

Although I also wanted to hold his hand at the moment I wasn't too sure. I shrugged it off as if it didn't bother me and stopped trying to let go of his hand, even though everything on the inside of me was screaming yes.

I looked up at him at one point to see him looking down at me. He smiled slightly when our eyes looked and his one eyelid closed slowly and shot back up.

This took me a moment to register what just happened. OH MY GOSH HE NOT ONLY SMILED AT ME BUT WINKED TOO!!! My insides were going wild and I blushed and looked away but I could feel his grin widening.

Half of me was saying: no, no, no, no, no no no no no no no no. I am not falling for him, he's a pain in the neck!

The other half was louder and though saying: OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH HE LIKES ME OH MY GOSH AND I LIKE HIM OH MY GOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE HE JUST WINKED and SMILED AT ME, OH MY GOSH!!!!!!

I tried to clear my head, but I couldn't seem to shut out the thoughts. Oh valar help me, I don't know what this ellon is doing to me.

~Meanwhile on their way to Erebor ~

Angelica sighs loudly as she keeps staring into the shimmering water which reflected the sun, wishing she was staring at the shimmering gold inside of Erebor instead.

Haldir hearing her sigh chuckled a little.

"What's so funny?" she asked sorta of snapping.

"Oh nothing."

"If it was nothing than you wouldn't have been chuckling."

"If you were just listening to yourself I wouldn't have to tell you why I am."

"What do you mean?"

"He means that you are so bored that you are becoming anxious, frustrated, snappy, and antsy." Replied Laisidhiel.

"No I'm not!" Angelica protested.

"Right...." said Haldir.

"Alright fine." said Angelica after a few moments, "I might be a little bored."

"Might be?" Questioned Haldir.

"Fine, I'm a little bored."

"A little?"

Angelica rolled her eyes and pushed Haldir playfully.

"Alright, alright I'll stop teasing you." grouched Haldir.

"Good. But that still doesn't solve my problem."

"I'd think you'd be working on what you're going to say to them when we get there," said Laisidhiel.

Angelica shrugged. "I already know what I'm basically going to say. We're long time friends so I won't have to talk my way in. Thorin is usually reasonable when we talk, so that's-that."

"How long have you known them?" Laisidhiel asked.

"Since I was a kid. I knew Fili and Kili since they were kids, and Gimli."

"Aren't they the King's nephews."

Angelica nodded, "Yes. At least Fili and Kili are, Gimli isn't but he's related."

"What are they like?"

"That depends on what mood they are in. If they're in a playful mood, watch out for pranks. They can be serious, but that's only when something is important. They're fun, and goofy at times. And if trouble comes they will stick by their fellow dwarf till the end."

"Sounds like an interesting combination for a person."

"That's usually what dwarves are." Angelica smiled,"I think you would like them."

"We shall see." Replied Laisidhiel. She fell silent and went back to her rowing.

Angelica didn't mind now though. She couldn't help thinking that she would be perfect for Fili. She wasn't usually a match-maker, but it couldn't hurt to introduce them and maybe even get them to talk and walk together. It would probably be a good idea to talk to Haldir and see if he can help. If Hostien and Piper could set her and Legolas up why couldn't she and Haldir set Laisidhiel and Fili up? At the thought she started to think of her best mellon and what she was doing now. Probably was more fun then sitting bored out your mind on a boat...

~Back in Lake Town~

"Legolas, if you don't stop pacing I'll make you stop and you will have wished you never knew how to walk!" Hostien was about at the end of her wits with Legolas. Every since Haldir, Angelica, and Laisidhiel left for Erebor and was out of his sight he couldn't stop pacing.

"Alright, alright! I'm didn't do anything so what's the problem?"

"It's not what's my problem, it's what's yours."

"Huh?"

Hostien crossed her arms impatiently and sighed deeply, "You've done nothing but pace since they left. They'll be fine, or rather she'll be fine."

"She who?"

"For Valar's sake Legolas! Angelica! You know the elleth you're madly in love with and you started courting almost a week ago? The reason why you can't stop pacing until she's within your sight again."

"I know who Angelica is. I do have a brain Hostien." She rolled her eyes. "And who says she's the reason while I'm pacing?"

Hostien narrowed her eyes, "Your pacing."

"It does not, don't be so silly. Besides, for all you know I could be exercising to keep in shape."

Hostien groaned, "Yeah right! When was that last time you looked at the six pack you have? Just admit it already!"

"So what? I might miss her a little..." Hostien just glared at him. "Fine, so I miss her a lot. Big deal. Don't you miss Haldir?"

"After more than a day, probably. After an hour and a half or less of him being gone, no. And it is a big deal since you can't seem to stop pacing."

"Well what else am I suppose to do?"

"You could go check the horses and see how they're doing. Or you could be useful and scout to see if you can spot the spies."

Legolas grumbled something under his breathe that sounded like 'bossy redhead'. Hostien had to have heard it for the look she was giving Legolas could have burned Lake Town worse than Smaug's fire. Legolas saw this and said, "Fine, I'll do that." And left as quickly as possible.

Hostien's eyes followed him out the door and down the hallway. Now she was antsy. Please come back soon mellon or your love boy might not be here... With that thought she walked out of the room to check on Dasia and the others to see how they were doing.
