Jacquelyn's POV

I gasped a mouthful of air as I knelt beside the huge gate of the Knight's castle. My feet were hurting from the jagged texture of the cobblestones against my smooth feet. Never in my life have I ran such a race

My lungs were inflamed from shortage of breath, and sweat trickled down my face. My hair clinged to my face as a result of the marathon I just ran, my body shuddered from the impact.

I knocked on the huge gate, squirming in the process. My body shuddered thinking of Terrowin.

Terrowin is the son of Sir Lydan. He is feared by many but not me.
He has a sturdy feature and is full of himself.
He loves taking advantage of women and cheats people in the city. He has a lot of opportunities because he is the son of a Knight. Opportunities peasants are dying to have. Terrowin has indeed misused his privileges.

It was very easy for him to get a Knight's gear because his father was a Knight. He learned from his Father and was already a Squire.
He was a little older than I was, perhaps eighteen.

I flinched when I saw the curly brown haired figure approaching me. His black eyes tearing into my skin, my blood brewing underneath my flesh. I kept my pride at Bay, coming solely for my father's sake.

He opened the gates, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Jacquelyn my bride, well met!" He said trying to snog me.
I pushed his arms away from me, flinching in pain because of the impact of his piercing fingers on my waist."Well met indeed. I bid a favor from you". My expression turned gloomy, I went straight to the point.

I could see the grimace on his face, he gasped a little before speaking. "What does M'lady require of me?". He abruptly held my hand.

I could feel the taste of blood in my mouth as I bit my lower lip, trying my best not to slap him.
"My father is ill, he requires the presence of a healer. I have no means of getting there, but if you would please journey with me or grant me a horse, I would surely be indebted to you".

"And miss two weeks of my training?!". He scoffed releasing my hand. "Why would I do that?"
He turned his back to me, and I could feel my heart shattering piece by piece. Tears creeping around the corner of my eyes.

He turned around swiftly, and I could see a grin forming on his face.
I could do anything to take that grin right off his face.

"Of course I would help you, but you would have to pay a price".

I knew he would surely ask for a price. I strode towards the gate unwilling to hear the price I would have to pay.
"I bid thee farewell, for I am not willing to know the price".
He jolted me to stop, as he stood in my way. I gave him a quick jab on his shoulder and hastened my steps towards the gate. I would always despise Terrowin, he is an evil being.

"Cur".  I hissed before shutting the gates behind me.
