The air around army court room was strict and formal with neat uniforms and disciplined officers.

He was there to complete the paperwork
Naveen's case was an ongoing success with all the major culprits behind the bars including major nair

And the last hearing was a big accomplishment .....
He should be rejoicing now but instead he is preoccupied.....

He can feel heavy on chest and difficulty to breath.
This is the moment to celebrate .... He is gonna get fruit of all his hardwork.

But he is unable to enjoy it with a huge matter to deal with in hand ..

Aalekh and abhimanyu will be here any moment for them being the part of team in this investigation
And he is worried that they will sense it too

He can't help but think about yesterday night again and again.

Two days ago

Naina was mortified with the file in hand ....

She woke up as he pulled the car in the driveway
They were supposed to stay in the army headquarters for a week.

And then saw heavy rain pouring outside the car
Wondering if she should step outside
As it was getting too overwhelming beside him.

He himself was looking for something to escort her through the rain.
And he pulled out hiss jacket from back seat and got down signalling her to wait in the car.

And they made a run for the corridor.

She was out of words as she saw him wiping water from his face

He checked on her and saw her standing there struggling with her emotions
It was so evident all over her face.

He knows that she need time to process all this.
He bid her goodnight and left for his quarters

She slowly walked back towards her quarters

Last. Night'

It was past midnight when he heard knock on his door.
He opened the door to see her there

He narrowed the his eye brows and saw her with questioning eyes.
He can see that something is broken inside her....

He took her in and closed the door.

The room was awkward
What do you say to eachother after this long time.

He kept waiting for her to say something
And she was spellbound

He noticed she is trembling for some reason.

She saw him and this time a tear rolled down her cheek
He can see she is gonna have a break down...and she is holding herself with all her strength.

He knew he had to hold her or she will fall apart

Letting herself get shattered in his embrace
She knew he will mend her piece by piece.

She sobbed closing her eyes and gulping down a big lump.

She need to get hold by him
She knew only this. Can fix him
She had to be around him.

While he secured her in his embrace
Something he longed to do from a long time.

To comfort her.....
To be there for her ....

He walked her on The edge of the bed and made her sit , still holding her
As if he is holding something so much precious

She burried her face on his neck
And he lowered his head resting on hers
Sniffing her hairs
She registered that in background

Not a single word exchange and all past complaints and grudges getting flushed away....
The air was filled with peaceful silence

She felt like coming back home....

After a while when he came out from his zone he realised her body loose in his grip
He got a bit apart only to find her asleep in his arms

He was in a pickle
Is he supposed to wake her up....and ask her to go to her room or make her sleep here on bed...
Won't that be inappropriate
But then he saw her sleeping face again
She has practically passed out , exhausted.

He was mesmerised, and taking a deep breath he picked her up and made her lay on bed tucking her properly....

And then he started wondering where is is supposed to sleep now as it was soo latte , he was exhausted too

It was a temporary accommodation by army ......
He had no other supplies not even a spare sheet

Forget about blanket or mattress.

He looked left and right to think of. Something, and finally grabbed a pillow throwing it on naked floor and laid there.

He turned his head towards the bed and couldn't believe his fate
She was there in front of her
After such a long time sleeping on his bed as if it's soo regular....
What the hell
What is this suppose to mean....

He should have woke her up...

That should have been done...

"I am doomed "

He slapped his forehead.
