"Again," Red fumed. He couldn't stand it any longer. Green Oak, the son of Professor Oak, was gay. "It's not like I care that he's gay. I don't. But why does he have to do those things?"

Crystal lazily bit on a breadstick, taking in Red's rant while filing her nails. "He grabbed you again?" she asked.

Red's face went, well, red. "Why me?" the usually quiet boy wailed as he buried his face in his arms, his head just barely touching the wood on his desk.

Gold walked in and sensed the distress hanging thick in the air. "Yikes. Green again?" he guessed. Red sobbed. He grabbed a chair and sat down on it backwards. "Aw, it ain't that bad, Red. In fact, it could be worse," he continued, nodding. "He could do *bleep* or *bleep* OR-!"

"Arceus, Gold, where's your filter?" Silver burst out, walking in behind him.

Gold laughed loudly. "My bad, my bad." He turned back to Red, only to find his desk had been deserted. "Oh, hah. Oops."

Red walked quickly down the hallway, trying to blot out what Gold had just said. Dang it, Gold, now you've got me thinking weird things!

He was making his way to the cafeteria when he bumped into someone. "Um, sorry," he started. Then he saw who he'd run into. CRAP!

"Hmm? You seem deep in thought, Red," the green-eyed demon smirked.

Red's words left him. His only thoughts were, GET AWAY.

Your face is awfully red, Red." He stepped a bit closer. Is he... worried? "You weren't thinking of me, were you?"

"Like hell I was, Oak," Red said, his anger breaking him out of his trance as he kicked Green in the shin.

Green instinctively brought his leg up with his arm, nursing it. He laughed through clenched teeth as Red trudged away. "If I didn't like you, Red Traynor, you'd have somethin' else comin'," he said under his breath.

Red picked up his pace even more, nearly on the verge of leaving school altogether for the day. Thoughts raced through his head until he once again felt himself collide with something. On guard this time, he took several quick steps backwards before seeing who or what it was.

"Oh...!" a small voice exclaimed quietly. Red looked down at the shorter person in front of him and inhaled sharply. It was Blue, a girl he had dated not too long ago. She had broken things off with him a few weeks back, and, as I thought, it's still a bit awkward, Red told himself.

"Oops, sorry about that, Blue..." Red scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"No, no. It was my fault, I wasn't paying attention. You seemed lost in thought, are you alright?" Blue suddenly began to reach out her hand, but flinched back, mumbling a quick sorry.

"I'm alright... just got out of an awkward situation, that's all," Red assured, going for a soft smile.

Blue's face went red for a moment. Red noticed, and a frantic thought flashed through his mind. "No, wait! Don't worry, it has nothing to do with you, I promise. I'm doing just fine. You had a valid reason to end our relationship, so I won't grudge you for it..." Red trailed off as he realized he had been rambling.

  Blue seemed to understand and gave a few embarrassed nods. "Okay... I hope we can still be friends, Red. I never meant for it to turn out so awkward between the two of us."

  "Me too," Red said sadly. "I'll see you around, Blue."

  "Right," she said quietly as she continued her way past him and down the hall. Sighing heavily, Red did the same, heading to his next period. He had completely missed lunch, but the adrenaline his anger and embarrassment fueled him with allowed him to ignore his need for food. But adrenaline can only go so far.
