"Nora, here you go!"

    "What is this for?"

     "Happy Birthday, Nora!"

    "Wren, you remembered my birthday!"

     "Yes, what kind of boyfriend would I be if I forgot?"

      Nora blushes. She thinks did Wren just call himself my boyfriend. She knows they have dated for seven months. She can not say she recalls his admitting to it before now.

      Wren laughs. "Nora, you are adorable when you blush."

       Nora opens the box. She sees some lotus flower earrings. She notices the jewelry will go great with the necklace she wears. She does not realize they match Wren's brooch on his vest too.

       "Wow, thanks so much!  The earrings are lovely!"

         Nora hugs him, and this time it is Wren's turn to blush. 

          Wren is glad she likes the gift. He thought for a moment there she hated it.  It is a relief that she is not too picky.  

          "Awe, so sweet!  Say cheese!"  Rwby blurts out as she aims the camera at Nora and Wren.

            After the photo, Wren turns to Rwby, "gah!  When did you get here?"

             "Goodness, Wren she has been here for two hours!" 

          "Where was I when she arrived?"

             "Silly, you were in the kitchen baking my birthday cake."

                "Oh, that reminds me."

               Wren took the cake out of the refrigerator. He read somewhere it makes it easier to spread the icing this way. He gets out the icing and spreads it on the cake. He adds some M&M's and cinnamon candies on top. He spells out the message:  "Happy Birthday, Nora! Love, Wren with red icing."

                "Nice job with the cake there, buddy!"  Rwby smirks.

                "Wren, it looks so yummy!"

               "Nora, you say that about every food."

               "So, I mean it."

           Rwby adds some candles to the cake. Wren lights the candles.

               Nora stands back as the others sing to her.

          She smiles as she makes a wish and blows out the candles.

               "I hope your wish comes true,"  Rwby remarks.  She takes pictures the whole time.

               "Me too!"  Nora squeals.

            Wren serves Nora a slice of the birthday cake, then gives some to Rwby, and to himself.  He thinks it was nice of Rwby to come over for Nora's party.  Yang did not show up cause she was sick at home, Blake was on a date with Sun, and who knows what Weiss was up to at the moment.

               Nora enjoys the cake.  She does not dare say anything, but the earrings remind her of the pink streak in Wren's hair since the flower shapes are pink as well.

              Rwby takes more photos.  She also hands Nora her gift.

         Nora opens it to find some stationery, stamps, and some cute little stickers.

            "Thanks, Rwby!"  Nora cheers.

              Wren giggles.  Leave it to his girlfriend to be so animated about her birthday.

                   Rwby leaves. She might as well since it is time for her to go find John. She did recall she promised Pyrrha to take care of him for her.

                  After Rwby left, Nora and Wren went on a hike. The hiking trail was slippery.  Nora almost fell, but  Wren caught her.  When they finished the hike, Wren got down on one knee. He held out a box similar to the other one.

                    "Nora Valkeyrie, will you marry me?"  Wren asks.

                    Nora squeals, cries, laughs, and answers, "Yes, I will!"

               Now, the birthday girl can not wait to tell all her friends.
