Like Hakuro, Haruto was a young scientist who had discovered a dark secret and was placed in arrest because of it. When Hakuro became Uitsualnemetia and caused humanity's eventual extinction, Haruto was placed in a special chamber where he would fall into a deep sleep for many years until he would later be awakened by RWBY, who had been whisked away by from their home during the events of V3(which Beacon got saved, Pyrrha and Penny did not die, Yang didn't get framed and so on.).

While confused, Haruto nonetheless joins them in a quest to find a way home and hopefully, help recover his memories. In the events to come, he would later be revealed to be the Violent God Of War, Hirudegarn.
