The dragon robot and the gaster skeleton found a diner nearby, and they went in there to talk privately while they ate something. There, Jay told him everything, from start to finish.
"So that's really you, huh? The whole 'being a living being' and 'you're a machine but a human deep inside' thing was legitimate?" Sans said.
"Yeah. It's all true. I had a hard time getting my head around it when I first realized it. However...I felt normal more than ever afterwards." Jay said.
"You had me concerned, kid. I didn't think you had the guts of not telling who you were initially." Sans said.
"Believe me, I didn't either. I tried hard to explain it to my friends before, but I was scared about how you guys would react to the truth. I figured if I acted normal like you guys, I'd be accepted. Yet...here we are." Jay said, mentioning about how everyone now knows— and probably the king knows now by Undyne —that he is a machine and not a monster. And that it took him by surprise the moment his secret got out to the light.
"Well, What now? I mean it worked on me, but how do you think the king and the other monsters in the Underground are going to react? And what will happen if you do decide to show up to the king by yourself?" Sans asked.
"Not sure. I'll take it as it comes, I guess. If I get hurt in the process, then so be it. But...I'll try everything to make them see who I really am without fighting back. If things go right, I'll finally be able to operate the barrier neutralizer and set every monster free." Jay said.
"So that's your final decision? No more hiding and never giving up on hope for us, even though we're different." Sans said.
"Yep! A bright future for all of us is near, and I'll do anything to keep a promise I made to someone." Jay said.
"So that's it, huh?" Sans said, looking sideways with what seemed to be a look of doubt.
"Hey, I promise to you and everyone else this won't be the last time I'll be seen. I'll always come back." Jay said with a smile, reaching out to Sans with one clawed hand.
"Heh. You did good, Jay. Wait...your real name/identity is David, right?" Sans asked.
"Well, yeah. But I prefer Jay nowadays. It fits me. Of course, I won't ever forget who I am." Jay said.
Sans smiled, now convinced that he was speaking with a true friend.
"Whelp, we better get going. You were going somewhere important. Before I tased you, right?" Sans said, looking a bit apologetic when he got to the last part.
"Yeah. And that was a pretty rude way to invite me to a fight. Ah well, I still forgive you." Jay said with a forgiving grin. Sans barked a laugh at Jay's comment.
As they walked out of the diner, Sans took another path that led to somewhere else.
"Wait, Sans. Where are you going?" Jay asked the gaster skeleton.
"I'm taking another shortcut. See ya soon, kiddo." Sans said with a wave of his hand. Jay looked at the direction where the Lab laid, then turned back to where Sans was walking away.
"Oh! Sans! I wanted to know—" Jay began when he realized that Sans had disappeared. [He teleported again. How DOES he do that?] he wondered as he looked around, but couldn't find any sign of the gaster skeleton.
Shaking his head to focus at the task at hand now, Jay headed towards the Lab once more.

A couple of moments later, Jay landed outside the entrance of the Lab.
Before he took the step that would automatically open the doors, they opened and out came a yellow blur with a lab coat, nearly colliding into him.
"Oh! Jay! You're okay! Your danger alarm went off a long while ago and gaster hasn't returned back here. I'll inform him that you are here." Dr. Alphys said, Jay recognizing him immediately.
"My...danger alarm?" Jay asked, confused as to what he meant but later hypothesizing in his head what it actually meant.
"Yeah. Ever since you connected yourself to the main computer system of the Lab, it seems like your system let the Lab system to monitor your health and condition. But...I still can't get over why it let such thing be handed over to the system." Dr. Alphys said, pulling out his phone from his coat to dial Dr. Gaster.
"I think it may be because of myself. I'm still new to handling it, but I think it's because it understands my motives of helping. Like...using other methods instead of weapons." Jay explained to Dr. Alphys. "Really?" he said.
"Yeah. At least, that's what I think." Jay said before Dr. Gaster's phone answered Dr. Alphys's. So they waited for the scientist gaster skeleton to come.

It took half an hour for Dr. Gaster to arrive back at the Lab. The three went inside and Jay explained what happened. Dr. Gaster listened to all of it with calmness and silence, much more than Jay expected. Which...worried him a bit.
"I see. I'll...have a word with him." Dr. Gaster said before he got up.
"Wait! Please go easy on him." Jay said, getting up and carefully grabbing Dr. Gaster's hand. "Like I told you, he had his reasons to do what he did; to protect Papyrus and everyone after the fight with Flowey." Jay added, looking at the scientist gaster skeleton with a pleading face. Dr. Gaster looked at him for a moment before he sighed and nodded. "Alright. I'll have a less severe word with him later." Dr. Gaster said. "Thanks." Jay said, nodding.
"So what are you planning to do now? After what happened?" Dr. Alphys asked Jay as he went to the computer to run a diagnosis on the barrier neutralizer.
"I'm planning to have an audience with the king." Jay said. This made both scientists look at him with surprise.
"Are you sure about it? Have you thought of this thoroughly?" Dr. Gaster said with a worried tone, looking like it would be him to help instead of letting him go alone.
"Yes. I made up my mind. He may not listen to me now that someone has informed him about me, but I'll do everything I can to make him understand the reason why I'm here." Jay told them. He was ready to counter anything they would say opposing Jay's decision, but Dr. Gaster nodded. Dr. Alphys nodded too in understanding.
"Well...I wish you good luck. From both of us." Dr. Gaster said, placing a hand on Jay's shoulder. Jay smiled and nodded before heading out of the Lab.
[First, I'll inform the dutchies about what happened. They must be worried sick about my absence.] Jay thought as he looked beyond the Waterfall district and at Snowdin town, where the mountains were.
And so, he lifted into to the air to fly towards the home of the dutchies once again.

The two furred dragons were waiting for Jay there, asking worriedly where he had gone for so long. Jay understood that and explained to the dutchies what had happened.
"Gosh. I'm shocked to hear that. And we're also relieved that Sans came to understand you." Radio said, Telephone nodding in agreement to his brother.
"So, you're going to speak to the king?" Telephone asked.
"Yeah. That's what I'll do. Can I ask...is the king really going to listen? I mean, I asked everyone else except you." Jay said.
"Well...he is strong, given that he is the king. However, he may be able to listen if his heart lets him since he is also kind." Radio said. Jay nodded, relieved he could hear that.

[Maybe. Just maybe, things could work out.] Jay thought with hope in his soul.
