"Then, he warned me about Thrawn," Ezra explained. He hadn't moved from his position. Hera, Zeb, and Chopper were huddled around him. Sabine was at his side, and Jacen was hidden behind his mother, watching the scene, eager to hear about his dad.

Hera had tears in her eyes as she listened to Ezra's story. While she had enjoyed seeing Ezra and Sabine together, it only reminded her of what she and Kanan had. But she was happy to have had his son, and as she was thinking this, picked Jacen up and cuddled him close to her chest.

As Ezra finished his story, the room fell silent.

Zeb was the first to speak.

"Well, I sure didn't think Thrawn was alive after all these years, but I guess you'd know," he said. Ezra's eyes drifted downward. Sabine squeezed his hand.

"No, it's fine," he reassured her quietly, and began to speak. "Thrawn and I blacked out when we got to hyperspace and were still unconscious during the crash. I guess the pyrgill must have flown away, because when I woke up, it was just us on the ship. I could hear some of the stormtroopers waking up, and Thrawn was still asleep, so I shot him in the chest and ran. I guess he must have survived." Sabine spoke up after a long silence.

"I saw some troopers while I was out looking for you," she said. "They were camping out in the jungle and talking about how Thrawn wanted them to keep watch for you. I guess that must have been a temporary arrangement."

"Well, obviously Thrawn knows where we are," Hera said. "We have to be ready."

"Shouldn't we hide out somewhere?" Zeb asked. Hera shook her head. "We can't keep running forever, Zeb. This is our home. We have to defend it." She kissed Jacen's forehead. He had fallen asleep on her shoulder. Ezra smiled.

"Hera," he said, "I was thinking - I've sensed that Jacen is strong in the Force. I think I should take him as my Padawan. Something tells me it's what I was meant to do. I will teach him to defend himself and others, and to use the Force for good. This could help when we have to face Thrawn."

Zeb sighed. "We should contact some people - Kallus, Wolfe, Vizago, Rex, and Ryder Azadi. I know Ahsoka left to who-knows-where after you came back, but we might need her too. We'll need all the help we can get."

Ezra smirked. "Just like old times."

The Ghost crew smiled and repeated, "Just like old times."
