Heartbreak.
That's all the crew felt after a daring mission to rescue Hera. They had lost one of their best. The wise one of the group. The man with tough love on people. The fallen knight.
They had lost Caleb Dume, AKA Kanan Jarrus.

Hera stayed silent most of the time, Zeb was still trying to wrap his head around it. Chooper was trying to lighten to mood of things. Sabine was nowhere to be found and Ezra, well......was lost.

His master, his father figure was gone and he didn't know what to think. He paced around the hideout with his head down. He had tears going down his face and didn't wiped them away. He was lost, broken, and devastated. An aching feel filled up inside of and all theses thoughts went in his brain.

'Why couldn't I do anything? Why did I let him do that? I could've done something? What if the others are next? What if I loose everything just like I did with my parents? Kanan. You didn't prepare me for this.'

His thoughts was broken when he realized he was outside of the hideout near some rocks. He sighed and fell to his knees as more tears went down his face.

Then he heard small sobs coming from close by. He got up from where he was and followed the source of the sobs. He found himself in front of a huge rock. He noticed that there was a crack in. He used the force to move the small rock out of the way and saw that there was a small crevice inside. He looked around in the dark cramped space. He looked down and saw Sabine sitting on the floor. Her head was down, she was hugging her knees to her chest and she was crying hard. This broke Ezra's heart even more. He knew that Kanan was like a second father to Sabine just like him. He knew how dangerous Sabine could be when she was sad, angry or both. But he had to do something.

"Sabine?" He called out. His voice startled Sabine as she shot her head up and pointed her blaster at him. Ezra threw his hands on the air and saw her eyes were red and had tears going down her face. When she saw Ezra her eyes widened. "Ezra...? What....what are you doing here?" Sabine asked still crying a little. "I could ask you the same thing." Ezra said. "What does it look like I'm here doing. I'm crying. I didn't want anyone else to see me. It's just I....I can't believe he's gone. After.....everything." Sabine said crying harder. "I know how you feel." Ezra stated.

"No! No you don't! How could you possibly feel the same?! He was just your master! He was someone I looked to for guidance sometimes! I thought I lost my blood father before Kanan! When I met him, I felt like he was father to me and nothing else! You wouldn't know that because both your parents died when you were very young!" Sabine shouted. This took Ezra by surprise and he back up a little as more tears threaten to come out.

Sabine instantly regretted it when it came out her mouth. Her anger look then turned to sadness and guilt and more tears escaped from her eyes. "Ezra....I....I didn't...." Without a second thought, she ran towards Ezra and hugged him tight burying her face into his chest crying. Ezra hugged back also crying. "I'm....I'm so sorry Ezra. I....shouldn't have said that. I didn't mean it." Sabine told him still crying. "I know. I don't blame you. It's okay." Ezra said also still crying. "I know you two had a strong bond more than master and padawan. Father and son. I'm just so so sorry for that." Sabine said. "Shh. It's alright. I'm here." Ezra told her.

They both sat down on the ground leaning against the rock wall. Moon light entered the small space in the rock onto the two rebel teens. Sabine was still hugging Ezra resting her head on his chest slightly crying. Ezra had and arm around her as he pulled her close. He stopped crying but tears still came out of his eyes. "I just miss him so much." Sabine quietly said. "I miss him too. I promise he will not die in vain. And we'll get through his death together." Ezra reassured grabbing Sabine's free hand.

Sabine looked up at him and slightly smiled. She then kissed Ezra on the lips. Ezra was surprised but closed his eyes and kissed back. They broke the kiss and stared at each other. "Thanks for always being their for me." Sabine said. "Always have, always will." Ezra said. Sabine laid her head back down on Ezra's chest and they both closed their eyes and fell asleep.

Anymore ideas for me?!
