Third person's POV

"Oga everything is clear now, the road is safe and we will be leaving tomorrow by 09:00pm then will reach the highway by 12:00am or 1:00am. Also I heard that during the day the police are everywhere, while those on the night duty don't do their work" Sam informed his boss about some information he got from his colleagues earlier.

"Well done Sam, that's why I called you my lucky charm, you always bring good news to me unlike iro" The boss compliment him proudly.

"Now go around the village and inform those men's willing to sell their female children, that by 7:00pm they should bring them and one who comes late should have their self blame." He said and dismissed him with a wave.

"He fish out his phone out of the pocket and dial Alhaji Nasiru's contact, which he pick at the third rang, and they discuss on how to take those kids abroad successfully without any kind of danger. The boss chuckle at Alhaji Nasiru last sentence,

And he respond again" Alhaji don't worry, trust me on this I won't fail you by god grace, have a nice day" he said and they end the called.

He was about to leave their tent when Sam come in with a wide smile on his face "Sam why are you smiling" He asked curiously.

"Oga you won't believe me, if I share this information with you" He said.

"Ahh! Sam I will believe you, just stop pooling my legs and tell me already.

"Oga na this village men's oh, I met some of them listening to radio's earlier and I got scared thinking they might reject our offer and Chase us out of their village.

"So what then happen?"

"Oga they were warned that they shouldn't give out their children to strangers claiming to give them better source of income and they surprise me by how they all kept insulting the government.

"Uhm I thought as much, Sam you know village people will always remain foolish and illiterate, beside that what we want you know, we benefit from their foolishness."

"The government tried his possible best to protect them from people like us but all in vein, because their all blinded with money." The boss said and they burst into a malicious laughter"

SALISU's POV

"Marjanatu! Murjanatu!!" I called raising my voice louder.

"Haba maigida, what happen? And why are you yelling out my name? Didn't you know you got me scared, and I wasn't even done with what I was doing and rush here thinking is something bad that even happen. Mchew Please stop this habit of yours before you give someone blood pressure" Murjanatu warn me.

"Sorry for scaring you dear, I did not mean to okay. I just want to inform you to get Sabirah ready tonight before 7:30pm, I will take her there at 8:00 and receive 300,000naira.

"Are you sure of that Salisu?" She asked to be sure again.

"Murjanatu kinsan bazan mike wasa akan alamarinan ba (You know I won't joke at this matter)

"Aiyerierieeee! Aiyerierieeee!! Aiyerierieeee!!! ni marjanatu nayi arziki (I marjanatu is now rich)" she exclaim loudly

"Lower your voice so neighbors won't hear us, let it be a surprise to them, beside that, start packing our luggage we will be leaving here tomorrow morning after receiving our money understood?" I said.

"Sure maigida, will do that trust me" she said and wink at me.

SABIRA's POV

And I kept wondering why the sudden change today, this afternoon, ummah Marjanatu bought new clothe and shoes for me, without buying any for her own children which baffles me a lot, I was so deep in thought, that I never knew my name was called until I saw umma standing before me.

"So you heard me calling you, but choose to ignore me right?" Ummah asked, flaring up angrily. I couldn't even fathom a word and stare at her speechless.

"Will you stop staring at me and get up" She bark and I stood up quietly without arguing "I'm sorry, I won't repeat it again." I apologize.

"It alright, now were are the clothes I bought for you earlier?" She asked and I shows her immediately.

"Now wear it and come out, you're going to escort your father somewhere" she said.

"Okay Ummah murjanatu but to where?" I asked and she glare.

I did as I was told to, but I could feel my temperature rising again I ignore it and amble out of the room.
 
I spotted Ummah marjanatu and my step siblings, sitting on a mat at the far end of the Corridor, so i decide not to go anywhere close to them so as to avoid their trouble. I sat by the door room, internally fighting with the headache I was having, when Baba comes in.

"Baba good evening," I greeted, bowing my head down in respect.

And with a wild smile on his face, he answered my greeting and asked if really I was ready so we can leave.

"Am fine Baba, but feeling a bit headache" I said wrapping my palm on my forehead.

"Aaah marjanatu come and give her some herbs before she cause some damage for us" Baba said and I was confuse at the statement he utter "damage"

"Baba Damage for what?i asked because i need to be clear.

"Da..da..damage for what? who mention that? don't mind my words please," he stuttered. "Marjanatu, what taking you so long? please hurry up so we won't be late." Baba said and I was like 'late for what?

"Sorry Maigida am looking for it already, I forgot were I kept it last time I use it on this children" she reply from the room.

"Why will you be careless about such kind of things? Please hurry up and look for it properly." Baba said, already getting pissed off

"Here it is maigida, please calm down" she said and mixed the herbs inside a calabash with water.

"Now here, take it" Ummah said and force me to take it.
   
"Good girl you will soon feel better, now get up and follow your father and be obedient to the people you will meet there, don't worry about your safety there you're safe, I assure you. Don't asked any question you will soon get them when you reach there okay" she said and I nodded as a child I was.

And Baba smile at me and asked if we should and I nodded and follow suit.

As we reach our destination, I was wondering what kind of place Baba took me to because everyone there was with their female child's mostly around my age while others were older.

And we were all called into a big room, just us and I wonder what was going on because it been more than 2hours we've been in that room and no one seem to attend to us.

Baba wasn't there anymore, just like others parent left too, leaving us to ourselves with the scary men's that just came in.

"Oya get up and follow me, you this unwanted children, your parent's already sell you girls for us just for money you know" The black man roar to us, as we all silently follow him out and shed tears of agony.
