Taehyung sat in his chambers, staring at the floor in frustration. It had been weeks since he met Jungkook. The night still lingered in his mind- the kiss and every word Jungkook said that night.

"Where are you?" Taehyung muttered to himself. He hadn't stepped out of the palace since their last encounter and nor was there any sign of Jungkook in the palace.

A part of him wanted to leave the palace and find Jungkook but the other part was angry that Jungkook wasn't the one to come to him first.

Taehyung stood up and started walking back and forth in the room. A knock on the door pulled him out of his thoughts.

"Your Highness, the King has asked for you," A servant said bowing down.

"Leave me alone for some time," Taehyung snapped. The servant quickly left the room and the room again fell silent.

Taehyung sat back, his fingers tapping on the arm of the chair, "Why do I even care?" he whispered to himself.

He was not used to these types of feelings and now it was driving him crazy. Jungkook had changed something in him that made him feel these feelings.

After a couple of minutes, Taehyung frustratedly got up and walked out of the room. He left his chambers and made his way down the halls.

Taehyung was wandering around the palace when he spotted the King's advisor. Taehyung wasted no time and went near him.

The advisor immediately bowed down when he saw Taehyung approaching him.

"I would like to inquire about a matter," Taehyung said, his voice calm.

"It would be an honour to assist you in any way, Your Highness," The advisor replied politely.

Taehyung hesitated for a moment and asked, "Do you know if there's any meeting scheduled for the officials any sooner? I haven't heard anything lately," Taehyung said, his eyes narrowing.

The advisor thought for a moment, "No your Highness, I believe that there is no official's meeting any sooner," he said, "Your Highness, no date has been confirmed for the next official's meeting."

"No date?" Taehyung mumbled.

The advisor gave a small nod, "Your Highness, there have been no official words about the next official meeting from the king."

Taehyung thought for a moment and nodded his head.

"Your Highness, I will let you know about the next meeting's happenings," the advisor said and bowed down in respect.

Taehhung sighed and nodded his head. He left from there and again went towards his chambers.

His frustration grew as he was not satisfied with the information. He was expecting to see Jungkook in the next official's meeting, but there is no scheduled date for the same.

____________

Jungkook was sitting alone in a dimly lit room. He was swirling the glass of wine before taking a sip.

It's been weeks since he saw Taehyung, but still, his presence lingered in his mind, no matter how hard he tried to forget it.

He had been avoiding Taehyung on purpose, staying away from him, staying away from the royal palace, but no matter how hard he tried to forget Taehyung, but his thoughts were still roaming in Jungkook's mind.

"This wasn't supposed to happen," he said as he leaned back in his chair, staring into the darkness.

Jungkook could still feel the touch of Taehyung's kiss. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. What was happening to him?

He was a vampire who had lived for many centuries. He encountered many people but no one has ever affected him as much as Taehyung did.

He had never felt this way about a human before. Jungkook always preferred to stay away from humans, but it was different from Taehyung. He knew that if it had been someone else, then that person might be dead by now..., but why not Taehyung?

Jungkook took another sip of wine. Taehyung's face kept flashing in his mind. The way Taehyung looked at him, his deep voice, everything kept repeating in his mind.

He knew that he couldn't always keep avoiding Taehyung. They will again cross paths, sooner or later, and he doesn't know if he will be able to hold back or not.

"Maybe I don't want to hold back," Jungkook mumbled, swirling the wine glass.

The night's scenes were replaying in Jungkook's mind. The way Taehyung got sad when they reached the palace, his sad eyes.

As the scenes of the kiss replayed in his mind, a part of Jungkook wanted more. Jungkook sighed heavily and closed his eyes.

Jungkook was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice Namjoon entering the room. Namjoon came and silently stood beside Jungkook.

"Jungkook," Namjoon called out.

Jungkook snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Namjoon, but no words came out of his mouth.

"Jungkook, you still haven't answered my questions," Namjoon said, his voice stern, "What was that boy doing here?"

Jungkook sighed, "He followed me here, that's it," he said calmly.

"Jungkook, it's not as you think. How did he enter this castle? This castle is hidden from human eyes but he easily entered this place.

Jungkook had no answer to this question. He also doesn't know how Taehyung entered this place. The room again fell silent.

Namjoon sighed and stood in front of Jungkook.

"Jungkook, he is the prince of this kingdom and you are a vampire. You should not get involved with him. It's not as easy as it looks. You shouldn't get involved with him; it's dangerous for both of you," Namjoon said calmly, his whole focus on Jungkook.

"I know hyung but I can't help it. I don't know how he entered this place but he did and it concerns me too" Jungkook said and took a sip of wine, "I am not getting involved,"

"You're not? Then why did you let him enter your world? Why did you easily let him go after he entered this castle? That's not what you have ever done before," Namjoon said, his voice raising.

Jungkook again fell silent. Namjoon wasn't wrong. Jungkook didn't know what was happening to him.

"I don't know anything, Hyung," Jungkook whispered.

"Jungkook, this isn't just about you. You are also putting him in danger," Namjoon said, trying to make Jungkook understand, "Do you think the vampires will accept him being involved with you and do you think the royal families will accept it?"

Jungkook stared at the floor. He had no answers to Namjoon's questions. He knows that Namjoon wasn't wrong.

"Hyung... I will think about this," Jungkook said, his eyes staring at nothing.

Namjoon sighed and nodded his head, "Don't take too long, Jungkook," Namjoon said and left the room.

Jungkook's mind was flooded with thoughts. He knew what to do but he didn't want to do it. Namjoon's words were roaming in his mind. He got up from the chair and went near the window and stared at the outside world.

On the other hand, when Namjoon left the room he saw someone coming towards him. It was Jury, her heels clicking in the silent hallway.

"Namjoon," She said and walked near him, "You came from Jungkook's room?"

"Yes, we just spoke," Namjoon said.

Jury chuckled lightly, "Then I wonder how he is doing? Is he still thinking about that boy?"

Namjoon frowned, "He is doing fine and dealing with the things in his way,"

"Is that so," Jury said tilting her head slightly, "But I don't think that he is doing anything in this matter. He let a human roam here freely and we don't know what he might do later," Jury said.

Namjoon laughed at her, "Jury, he knows his responsibilities. It's none of your concern. Jungkook can handle everything and you should focus on your own matters."

"I always do," Jury said, "I just like to stay informed; after all, we are of the same world."

"Stay out of this Jury. Jungkook doesn't like when people interfere in his matters," Namjoon said calmly.

"I'm not interfering but... just observing," Jury said with a low chuckle.

Namjoon turned around to leave, "Then keep your observations to yourself," he said and walked away from there leaving Jury behind.

Jury chuckled and looked at Namjoon, "They all are so interesting," she whispered to herself, a wicked smile appearing on her face.

With Taehyung

Taehyung stood at the royal training grounds, a vast open area where only the royal and elite people were trained.

Taehyung was training there with the instructor. He carelessly swung the sword and missed the target again. He gripped the swords tighter and tried to concentrate on the training but it was of no use.

"Your Highness, should we take a break," the instructor asked after seeing Taehyung's distracted self.

"No, let's continue," Taehyung replied and firmly held the sword.

He again positioned himself and swung the sword, but again, the target missed. Taehyung sighed in frustration.

"I think we should stop for now," Taehyung mumbled slowly.

The instructor nodded, "As you wish, Your Highness. We can continue after some time."

Taehyung handed the sword to the instructor and walked out from there, walking slowly back towards the palace.

━━━━━━━━━━

Taehyung returned to the palace. He felt exhausted even though he had not trained much. As he walked through the grand hallways a palace attendant approached him.

"Your Highness," the attendant said bowing down as he passed a small sealed envelope to Taehyung, "This letter was delivered to the palace and was specifically referred to you."

Taehyung raised an eyebrow. He had never received a letter that was not of official palace matters.

"Who sent this?" Taehyung asked, glancing at the envelope.

"I don't know, Your Highness. The messenger immediately left after delivering the letter," the attendant said politely.

"Very well. You may go now," Taehyung said to the attendant who left after bowing down.

Taehyung quickly opened the envelope. He unfolded the letter and scanned the words. His eyes lit up after reading the letter.

Meet me at the back gate tomorrow morning.

Jungkook

That was all the letter said. There was nothing else. Taehyung's heart raced as he re-read the letter.

Taehyung carefully folded the letter. He did not care why Jungkook was not here for a week, but now this mere letter gave him hope to meet Jungkook.

After being away for a week now, Taehyung was finally going to confront Jungkook, and this time, he was determined to get the answers to his questions.
