" Scott, Where were you? The cops are after you." Hope came running toward me while I was entering  defeated, spiritless and my knees gave out I landed on floor. Cassie's sobs,her screams caught in her throat ,her yelling , everything is still fresh in my head.My eyes on ground ,mind unconscious ,heartbeat racing , tears rolling down my cheeks. 

" He's playing games with me , enjoying it..." I blurted and then lift my gaze only to catch hers. I covered my face with my palms.

"Daddy, help me!." Cassie shouted ,closed in some glass chamber ,sitting on a chair and connected to some machines ,which are showing trough and crest about something. When I stood outside placing my fist on the glass and banging on it harder and harder but nothing happened. I stopped banging when that evil laughter escaped his mouth , in a blink of an eye I ran towards him and lifted him by  his collars. He didn't flinch.

"What do you want , what are you doing with her." I said through gritted teeth.

"Ah, I wanted to see you suffer and the answer to your second question is , My specialist doctors found out that your daughter's cells produce certain type of protein with different characteristics , if we could isolate them and introduce them into my body ,I could survive this deadly disease of Huntington's disease , that protein decreases the decay of my neurons, but we need to just confirm it after that transfer technique will take place, Isn't that great." Darren said with honey dipped voice.

"She is not a lab rat to perform your stupid experiments on, Just let her go. Please." I released my grip, pathetic,vulnerable.

"I love it." Darren inhales deeply .

" Why are you doing this?." 

"I hate Dr.Hank ,he's a liar , He said I was like his son ,then after sometime , he started hiding things from me relating the Ant-man shrinking technology ,saying i'm not the best candidate for it ... and he chose you over me to become that Ant-man." Darren said glaring at me,fury ,anger,revenge in his eyes .

" Scott, Scott, ." Hope shook me vigorously bringing me back to reality.

"All this time ,were you aware that your father wanted me to become that Ant-man?" I asked ,she lowered her head. " YES OR NO!" I shouted this time, I needed answers.

" Yes!"Hope said "He saw the dark side of Darren and wanted someone capable to fight against him and...." 

"Enough!!" I got up , bouncing back and forth, " Because of your dad , my daughter is in danger...and now he's dead."

" You can't blame him like that." She said barely above whisper.I turned and paced towards  her and pulled her against the wall.

"Yes I can , He's gone and thrown all of us in that dark pit of darkness from where there is no way out."

" I got all his papers ,from that we could redesign that suit and you could save your daughter." Hope said, but it didn't soothe my raging thoughts because till now they was no advancement.

I stood in front of the mirror wearing the suit and pulled that mask down my face,crossing my fingers I pressed the button. Nothing happened.I looked around at Hope standing hopeless,I removed the mask and tossed it across the room.

"I don't think it will  ever work." I said without looking at her . " It's powerless without his help."

In the Cross technology center where Darren Cross has my daughter captured , on entering I called out his name until he was standing in front of me wearing his yellow jacket .

"Hey, What a pleasant surprise!." Darren exclaimed. 

Without warning I just charged at him ,accelerated my my pace and smacked a hard punch on his face ,he groaned in pain ,lifted him again and hit another punch across his right cheek.He pushed me with full force and I smacked the computer and broke the screen, I rolled off of the ground and stood up straight again, Meanwhile few guards came in surrounding  me and attacked me simultaneously.Blood spilled out of my mouth ,they hit me with iron rod ,carried by wind I landed on the table and broke it into pieces ,I groaned in pain when these tiny wood pieces pierced at the back .One of them came running toward me and kicked in my stomach. He lifted me ,I jerked back when he lifted his hand for solid punch but he released me when numerous tiny crawling and flying robotic insects entered the room .I scanned for Darren he was with a syringe  ,before he could insert .I jumped on him ,smacking him against the wall but due to my temporary state of helplessness I couldn't regained myself when I saw Darren drifting towards some kind of machine  . Hope entered the room going straight to help my daughter before she could tap in the code for that glass chamber to unlock it ,Darren made his way to her and grabbed her pulling by her hair .I somehow regained my energy and made this desperation move ,I don't know whether I could pull this move or not , I just went for it dashing in his way making my aerial move and attacking him at lower leg and before he hit the ground I aimed an elbow strike at the base of the skull but after that he shrunk taking away my dizziness ,I was dreaded for the fact now the ball was in his court , he can turn the game , On turning my head  A sudden hold on my neck pulling me closer then thrusting his knee on my chin making me fall straight on the ground . It was difficult to recover faster after that hit.

Sirens went off.  "Activation in process" Robotic helium voice said.

Darren laughed his evil laughter ,indicating me towards my daughter ,only then I noticed there was a crown shaped fevice on her head with spiral wires around it and screen set up on her forehead which just displayed ACTIVATED. Cassie was unconscious when I looked at her ,I held my breathe , she slowly opened her eyes which didn't seem familiar then it sparkled red light  and smirk formed on her lips before I could register the reality she shrunk.
