"Do you really like me, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, for who I truly am, and not for my Ladybug persona?" I whispered quietly.

"Yes Mari, I really do love you." Chat blurted out before he had time to think. My eyes widened once the sentence escaped his lips. Love?

Before I could question the boy, a loud, eerie voice echoed through the house. "We know you're in here."

Chat stared down at me, a horrified expression etched onto his face, before grabbing my hand and running up the stairs

"Where are we-" I started, but once one of my shoeless feet hit the top step, he swept me off the floor, one arm tucked under my knees, and ran off again in a direction I didn't recognize. After a few different twists and turns we ended up at some locked door that the boy magically had a key too. He set me down in the room and almost shut the door, until I jammed my foot between the door and doorway. "You are not leaving me!" I exclaimed.

"I just need to get a few things then I'll be back and we will be off." Chat stated simply, flashing a small smile after his words. If he thought that would be good enough for me, he was wrong.

"Hold on I have a few-" I began, but for the second time that day- the leather clad hero cut me off. It was however with good reasoning as we heard boots clattering up the stairs. Chat, once again, scooped me into his arms and went right towards the open window. "You better not jump out that window with me in your arms, Adrien, I swear." I scolded. He jumped anyways and we happened to land with me on top, not a scratch in sight, so I was satisfied.

After seeing my triumphing smile he added "Come on, princess" with a smirk and extra emphasis on 'Princess'.

"Damn right I am a princess" I muttered as he dragged me through the woods. After running to the school to pick up Tikki, I had a general idea of where we were and how to get from here to where my house and the school are, but they way Adrien was currently taking was the complete opposite. "So at what point are you going to tell me where we are heading?"

"My other get away house." Adrien answered smugly. "What was that about you being a princess?"

"Whatever rich boy. You may be spoiled by your daddy, but I'm spoiled by you and that's a win for me." I held my head high triumphant as he looked back at me with a dazed look.

"I like this side of you, why don't I ever see it."

"Well, we weren't dating before." Adrien suddenly became red at my comment and faced forward. I mentally facepalmed myself for saying such a thing. Of course we aren't actually dating!

"I'm sorry, I, uh, I just kinda assumed that since you said you loved me that maybe you ya know but I-" a pair of lips shut me up. It only lasted a second but the feeling tingled my lips for minuets.

"Of course I want to date you, Mari." Chat stated as he started towards our destination again.

And onwards we went a huge dorky smile planted on both of our faces. Happiness instilled in both our jumbled emotions. If only we knew then that the happiness wouldn't last long.

One can only stay safe for so long.

After all these cheer practices I really want to continue the cheer that starts out like that....
