When he's alone he gets really bad negative thoughts... and really overworks himself and this causes his extreme stress to trigger and soon after his anxiety starts up causing his body to clench up...

And due to his deformed jaw he was bullied badly...

On occasion Teddy even stops eating for days... and on occasion it gets really bad...

Due to the mental and physical tolls he has done his soul damages itself because of it...
