Sand (Sandstar) is founder of SandClan. Once Spider showed her Cactus, Spike, and Viper, many other cats joined.

Sand decided this was too big of a group of cats to be called a group, so she named them SandClan. They named themselves this because ancient spirit-cats, who called themselves SunClan, told them so.

Once she was promoted as leader, she soon became mates with Spider. They had three kits—Scorpion, Palm, and Snake. Viper and Cactus became mates, and soon had a tiny she-cat named Breeze.

When older, Palm and Breeze became mates, and their family tree dropped down until modern days in SandClan.
