So, this idea is something I came up with in a few minutes and ended up being so deep and drawn out that I couldn't possibly flesh it out enough to put it into a oneshot. But, if you guys want to take this and write it. PLEASE PLEASE DO AND TAG ME. You can switch up the ship if you like, the characters are set in a way that is easily interchangable. {Just leave Roman as the Prince please :P}

That being said, since I can't flesh it out, you guys get the idea how I came up with it originally! {sorry}

When Prince Roman is first born and is about a month old, his mother, the queen, cheats on his father with someone from a rival kingdom. Fraught with rage and jealousy, the king orders a witch who works for him to curse the child, Virgil, the witch, is reluctant to do so of course, but soon enough an argument takes place between the witch and the king. Virgil being now pissed off curses Roman much worse than he had originally intended on accident, and in full honesty, he doesn't know what he did....

When he explains this to the king he is punished with being forced into exile. Since no one know what Roman is cursed with or how bad it is, the king orders that the child is locked away and one of the royal advisors, tend to him. Which works until Roman is a teenager... The guards just hear intense shouting and arguing between Roman and the royal advisor... Then nothing but Roman sobbing... They run to see what happened since the advisor never leaves... And they see the royal advisor's body burnt to a crisp, scorch marks completely covering the stone room, and Roman sitting in the corner with his knees to his chest and sobbing "I didn't mean too! I don't know what happened!!" It's only then do they realize what the witch cursed him with... Fire powers based on his emotions and anger...

They move him to a different cell much more secluded and deeper within the castle's underground maze of cages. The guards look after him, but being lazy and not really caring, they forget to give him meals at certain points and typically just leave him to his own devices. Until one of the servants named Logan who was about Roman's age is sent down to give him something to eat do they notice his malnourishment.

Logan and Roman end up becoming friends as Logan has not much else to do but go talk to him, and Roman can't go talk to anyone else. This continues for years, the two of them end up having a secret romantic relationship, as Logan helps Roman learn to control his fire powers as well as testing to see how powerful they actually are.

They were going to end up breaking Roman out, Logan had spent time memorizing guard patters, and routes since he's allowed out and around the castle... Then the night they were planning to break out,it is announced that the king passed.

The current Royal advisor, Patton, helps teach Roman on how to run the kingdom as he is the last of the royal bloodline... And finally after years and years of being trapped, he is allowed to rule his kingdom with Logan by his side.
