Are yalls ready for some cute winter fluff? 'Cause thats what you're getting.
That's all this chapter really is, just cute fluff and such.
I skipped some details cause it was getting kinda long, but it's still 7000+ words, sooo yeah
Anywho
Hopes yalls like it!

"The Winters End festival is happing in two days," Virgil's father said, "we'd like you to attend if you're interested." He added.

Virgil was sat down with his parents in a small but cozy tea room, a plate of warm scones and muffins places on the table next to two steaming teapots, one with licorice tea, and the other with a strong orange tea.

"I'd love to go, is there anything in particular that I'll need to do?" He asked, stirring about if honey into his licorice tea. He'd had a bit of a dose throat lately, and licorice was supposed to help.

"You're father and I will be making a speech about the past winter and the soon coming spring, which you'll be expected to stand with us for -you don't need to make a speech though." His mother said, "after that you'll be free to go about the festival just like anybody else, your father even convinced me to extend your curfew." She added. "As long as your with someone else who can be trusted."

"We're assuming you'll spend your time at the festival with your boyfriends? At least one or two of them." His father said and Virgil watched as he dipped a bit of his scone into his tea. It was a chocolate scone, so maybe it'd taste good with oranges?

"That's most likely what I'd be doing, they've been talking to me about the festival and are excited to show it to me for the first time." Virgil said with a fond smile. Both Roman and Patton had been getting increasingly excited as the festival drew closer, going on and on about everything they'd show him and all the stuff they could do.

"Oh, and related to that," he continued, a small flush on his cheeks, "I was wondering if maybe we'd be allowed to leave the town for a bit? Just to go into the surrounding woods for a short amount of time." He added. "We wouldn't go too far."

"Hmm, I don't know...what do you plan on doing out there?" His mother asked.

Virgil's blush darkened a bit. "L-looking at the starts and, um, just hanging out I guess." He said with a small shrug as he looked down at his lap, where his hands were fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

"I don't know about that, I'd be much more comfortable with you staying in town..." his mouth said, and Virgil saw the small frown on her face as he quickly glanced up at her.

"Oh, darling, what if we cleaned up that room for them?" His father suddenly piped up, a wide smile on his face. "You know what I'm talking about, we haven't had it used in ages, and it'd work for star gazing."

His mother looked confused for a few seconds, before her face morphed into one of understanding, and then a fond smile slipped into place.

"Ah I see, yes I think that'd be a lovely idea, we'll need to see about installing some sort of fire place for heating, but I think that's a wonderful idea." She said, before turning to Virgil. "You don't have any lessons soon, correct? Are you willing to come with us so we can show you something?" She asked.

"Oh, um, no I'm free." He said, "what are you showing me?"

"It's easier to explain if we just take you there, but basically when you look at the castle from outside you see two main towers towards the center, correct?" His father asked, "one's shorter than the other?"

Virgil nodded, he could recall seeing the two towers. They had light sea-glass green dome like roofs that reflected the sun like jewels, and one was significantly shorter than the other.

"Well they're pretty much just empty rooms, but the taller of the two has a little passage way to get into the actual roof, which is actually glass with an inner covering that can be removed so you can look out. The smaller tower's roof is also glass with the inner covering, but you can't access the roof of it so it's just for decoration." His father explained, "this room isn't really used for anything, except for maybe a spot to get away for a bit, but your mother and I had made plans a long time ago, when we found out she was pregnant with you," Virgil watched as the two of them moved to clasp their hands together, "we had made plans to turn it into a special little room just for you." He said, "the room bellow would be your own space to do what you wanted with, and the glass room above could be a spot for you to look out at everything or relax if you need to -I know I would have appreciated a room like it when I was a prince." He added softly.

"When you were taken all plans of fixing up the space had been dropped, and we forgot about the room in all honesty," his mother picked up, "but it's a lovely place to watch the night sky without having to leave the comfort of home." She added.

"Which is why I thought of it just now when you said that." His father admitted. "So, if you're interested, maybe you could go there instead of out into the woods?"

Virgil swallowed thickly, a large amount of some emotion, or maybe multiple emotions, swelling up in his chest as the mentally chewed through what they'd said. It made him wonder what life would have been like if he'd never been taken as a baby, if he'd been born normal and had gotten to stay...

"I- yes, yes I'd love to go see the room," he said after clearing his throat a little, "I think it sounds perfect." He added softly.

He watched as they both smiled, and then the three of them quickly finished their tea and snacks before his parents lead him through the castle and too a wooden door with a tiny metal sun ebbed into the wood that he'd never seen before.

"This leads straight up to the room," his mother said as she opened the door to reveal a stone stairwell that seemed to quickly twist upwards. It kind of reminded him of the tower, except the only stairwell there had been wooden and rotted and in the dark, this one was relatively clean, made from light colored stone, and was well lit by large windows along the other wall. He quickly pushed the mentions from before into the back of his mind, not wanting to think about any of that right now.

His parents lead him up the set of stairs, going round and round upwards, until they reached another wooden door with the same metal sun.

"The door doesn't lock, but we can have a lock installed if you want," his father said before opening the door.

On the other side was a circular room with four small circular windows along the walls. The floor was wooden but sturdy, and the room itself was fairly short -he could probably touch the ceiling a bit if he stood on his toes. It was sparse of any decoration or furniture, and had a fair amount of dust and cobwebs everywhere, but in the center of the ceiling was a small sun paintings.

"If you press right here," his mother began as she stood on her toes and jump a bit to press her hand against the sun, and it sunk into the ceiling by her touch "the hatch to the above room will open." She said.

There was a small click sound, and then a squat of the ceiling surrounding the sun, maybe two and a half to three feet in size, flipped downwards, leaving a hole that lead into what looked like darkness.

"I'm not sure where the ladder went," she admitted, "there's supposed to be a wooden one kept in the bellow room, but I think..." she paused for a second. "Dear can you help me up a bit?" She asked.

"Of course love," his father said, before moving and crouching down before wrapping his arms around her upper thighs, hiding her tightly before hoisting her up as he stood straight. "What your head."

His mother, now with her head and arms beside the hole, seemed to feel around for a few seconds before making a small 'aha' sound and telling his father to bring her down a bit.

"We're lucky it's still here." She said, revealing a rolled up rope ladder, which she quickly hooded to the edge of the hatch before letting it roll out to touch the floor.

"We can either find or make a new ladder later on," she said as his father put her back down, "the one before was able to automatically fold out when the hatch was opened, and it had a wooden panel attached to it so it could be hidden and out of the way when folded back up when you were inside the room." She explained as she dusted herself off. "I'm sure we can find someone to remake it if we can't find the old one."

"You can head up first, the room should be empty so it's only a bit dark, nothing to worry about." His father said, nodding his head towards the rope ladder.

Virgil nodded, "okay," he said softly before moving over and resting the ladder. It felt secure and sturdy enough to hold his weight, so after a moment of hesitation he began to climb up.

The room above was pitch black and smelled very dusty, and it was surprisingly cold like the room bellow, but to be fair his parents had mentioned it not having any heating.

After he was up and inside the room his parents came up as well, and his father began to mumble to himself.

A few moments later that was a loud click sound and then a crack of light cut through the darkness. "Ah here it is." His father said and Virgil looked over towards his voice in time to watch as the darkness split open to reveal the brightly lit outside, his father pushing some sort of covering that folded in on itself with soft clicks as he pushed it along, eventually having the entire room uncovered.

Virgil could only compare it to a fish bowl or maybe a bubble in the shape of a fat teardrop. All of the walls were glass, lightly tinted green, with only the thin wooden pain's separating the sheets of glass that continued up and curved inwards before finishing at the top at a point -that's what made it resemble a fat teardrop. The space was very well lit, despite parts of the glass ceiling being blocked by snow, and as virgil looked outside he would see everything in any direction. This was the highest point in town and for as far as Virgil could see, so he was able to see basically everything from the near by ocean to the forest and distant mountains.

"It's amazing..." he said softly, still staring out of the windows with glimmering amethyst eyes wide with wonder and curiosity. He was so busy looking out at the world that he didn't notice the twin fond looks both of his parents had, the two of them watching him instead of looking out the windows.

"Yeah it is." His father said, his voice just as soft, before clearing his throat a little. "Ah, we can have the snow cleared of the roof easily, a few of the windows can open up and we have the tools to clean it if there's still snow there by the time we have it all ready for the four of you." He said. "Though it will probably melt fast." He added.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Virgil said. "Thank you for showing me up here," he continued, "I really appreciate it."

"It's nothing dear," his mother said, "how about you go find your boyfriends and talk to them about plans, your father and I can have some people get started on cleaning up the place." She added.

Virgil nodded, and the three of them each made their way down the ladder and then out of the room -after the inner cover for the glass had been closed of course.
-
It wasn't difficult to find Logan -he was working in his room at the desk near his window. Patton and Roman were probably training -they should be working with actual weapons now if he wasn't mistaken- and wouldn't be back till later.

"Can I nap on your bed?" Virgil asked as he closed Logan's door behind him with a soft click.

"Of course -I might join you in a bit, I'm almost done with this." Logan said, not looking up from where he was hunched over a paper on his desk.

Virgil laughed softly and moved to stand behind Logan, "remember not to slouch love, you'll hurt your back." he said as he let his hands trail across Logan's shoulders while pressing a kiss to the top of his head, "and I'll be waiting for you." He added, before moving to go curl up on Logan's bed, wrapping his arms around one of the extra pillows with a hum, getting comfortable and cozy.

Logan joined him maybe an hour later, and Virgil quickly went about pulling his boyfriend up against his chest, tossing the wax tea pillow aside and tucking Logan's head under his chin after he'd gently plucked Logan's glasses off.

He hummed softly and relaxed into the mattress more when he felt Logan press his face into the crook of his neck, a small smile slipping onto his face.

He must have dozed off at some point, because the next thing he knew he was waking up to the sound of gentle cooing and a hand carding through his hair.

"You don't know how cute the two of your look right now," Roman said, and Virgil could hear the smile in his voice.

"Not as cute as you or Pat are," he mumbled softly as he pulled a still slumbering Logan closer.

"We're not starting this again," Patton said softly, "we're all adorable -now Roman, you and I need to go get cleaned up, then we can join Logan and Virgil, okay?"

"Aw, but they're so cute I want to squish them now," he heard Roman say with a pout.

"No squishing, only cuddles," Virgil said, a smile on his face when he heard Patton laugh.

"Come on Ro, if we're quick we'll be back before Virgil falls asleep again," he said.

Roman agreed and the two of them left to take their bath.

Virgil was still awake by the time they got back, and was idly carding his fingers through Logan's hair and tracing small patterns on his back with the tips of his fingers.

"If you're still wet when you get in bed them I won't give you any kisses, you're not allowed to make Logan's pillows soggy." He said as he slid one of his eyes open just a little to look over at them.

"I promise that we're both as dry as we possibly can be." Patton said, and Virgil felt the bed dip as the two of them climbed in.

Roman moved to Logan's other side, snaking his arms around Logan's torso, while Patton got on the other side of him, dropping his arm across both Roman and Logan and letting his hand rest just barely on Virgil's hip.

He stayed awake for awhile, quietly talking with Patton while Roman quickly join Logan in dreamland. Logan had shifted in his sleep at one point, rolling over and snuggling closer to Roman with a small hum, the two of them easily shifting positions so that they were cuddled close with Logan's face pressed against Romans collarbone. He was going to have some pretty nice bed-head when he woke up.

"And they think we're cuter." Virgil said with a small scoff and a fond smile.

"Well, to be fair you are really cute." Patton said with a small laugh from the other side of the bed.

"Pat, your adorable as fuck -cuter than all three of us combined, you have no room to leave yourself out of that statement." He said, earning another fit of quiet laughter from his still awake boyfriend.

It wasn't until the day of the festival that he actually got around to talking to them about the room.

"So your parents so no to going out stargazing?" Patton asked with a small pout. The four of them were all in Virgil's room, getting dressed up and ready for the festival that had already started in town. They were putting on thick layers and cloaks, since it was fairly chilly out and they had plans to stay out late.

"Well, they didn't technically say no," Virgil said, "they sit said they had a place in the castle we could stargaze and they showed it to me, it's actually really nice." He said, his voice growing a bit soft at the end.

"Oh?" Roman asked from where he was sitting in Virgil's desk chair.

"Yeah, it's one of the towers you can see from outside -apparently they were going to make it into a room for me when they found out my mom was pregnant, not a bedroom, just a room to do whatever I wanted in." He explained, "it was actually really sweet of them, and I think it really meant something for them when they took me there and showed me since they had thought they'd never get the chance to." He said with a fond yet almost sad smile.

There was a slight pause before Virgil felt a pair of hands snaking around his waist from behind. "I bet it's amazing." Patton said as he leaned his head down to press his face into the crook of Virgil's neck from behind.

"It really is -they said they were going to have it cleaned up and such for us for tonight, there's no heating yet tho so I'm assuming there'll be some blankets and pillows and such at least." He said as he leaned back into Patton's hug.

"I'm sure it will be a lovely spot to stargaze, I trust your parents on that." Logan said, "but for now it's about time we head into town -it's almost time for your parents to give their speech, and you need to be there." He added.

They quickly finished getting ready and made their way down into town. Everything was covered in a thick blanket of snow just like it had been for the past few weeks, but now each house had several unlit lanterns decorating the porches and fronts of their homes and shops, and the main streets were lined with carts and stalls that were still getting ready, but according to Roman would be selling delicious foods and other goods later on.
They went to the center of the town, where all the snow had been cleared away so that later they could all dance, and where there was a small little podium set up at the moment, the king and queen standing behind it.

Not everyone who was coming to watch the speech was there yet, but the space was steadily growing more and more packed, so to avoid getting stuck the four of them quickly skirted round the edges of the space and around to where Virgil's parents where.

"All set? You've got enough layers on?" His father asked when Virgil walked up to the two of them, his hands moving forwards to fiddle with Virgil's cloak.

"Yes, I'm plenty warm." He said with a smile, "are you guys ready for your speech?" He asked as the hands fiddling with his cloak moved up to fiddle with his hair.

"Yes, your mother is currently going over it right now to triple check that we're not missing anything." His father said, before moving over to where a small but decorative bag was sitting. "Are you comfortable wearing this? I know you usually don't, but your mother and I are wearing outs and I think it'd look nice." He asked as he opened the bag to reveal Virgil's crown neatly tucked inside, glimmering brightly.

Virgil looked at it for a few seconds, memories from before flashing through his mind that he quickly pushed away. "I- yes, I can wear it." Virgil said with a nod as he carefully picked the crown up. "Should I put it on now?" He asked.

"If you'd like, there's no certain time you should be wearing it, just before the speech starts." His father said as he closed up the bag. "When the speech is over you can put it back in the bag so you won't have to bother with it for the rest of the day." He added.

Virgil nodded in understanding before putting the crown on, deciding to put it on sooner rather than later so that he wouldn't have to worry about it.

The speech started soon after that and went smoothly as far as Virgil could tell. His parents talked about how well everyone had done for the past winter, and how as soon as the spring started to come they'd start getting ready to plant the New Years harvest, and how they looked forward to another prosperous and peaceful year. He didn't do much through the speech, just stood off to the side of the podium near his parents and smiled, nodding along with parts of the speech to show that he was still engaged even if he wasn't talking.
Patton, Roman, and Logan were at the front of the crowd, so he mostly focused on them during the speech, it was easy to smile at them, and it made him less nervous to see that they were there.

After the speech his parents sent him off to go have fun, only after taking back the crown for one thing, and after explaining that the room was ready when they were.

He joined the others after that, and they quickly went about exploring the festival.

"They should have games we can play closer to the library, although those are meant for the children, but there are games that we can play as well," Patton said as he wrapped his arms around one of Virgil's in a hug, "and then there's goods and such like furs, jewelry, and other fun things being sold in stalls in the market area, and some shops are either giving out treats or are selling them for far less than usually," he continued, and exited smile on his face, "and then down by the docks is where a bunch of the food is set up to be sold, but there are food carts just about everywhere if you don't want to walk all the way to the docks."

"Sounds exciting," Virgil said with a smile.

Everyone around seemed to be excited as well, more and more lanterns were being placed around, with every flat and unoccupied surface soon being occupied by at least a few lanterns, as well as more being hung about as well, all still unlit.

"Unlike on your birthday the lanterns aren't sent off into the sky," Logan began, he must have noticed Virgil looking at all the lanterns, "instead these ones are built to be much more sturdy, and stay were they're place. They're like a beacon of sorts to show people where to go and where home is -and since they're placed all around town it's to show that everyone can be home here." He continued, "they're lit when the sun has finally gone down, and it's very exciting for the younger children because they get to pick out which manger they want to light." He added. "Adults do as well, the adults actually light quite a few, but the children seem to take it as something much more special."

"That sounds so sweet," Virgil said, "I bet it looks really pretty."

"Oh it does, I'm sure you'll love it." Roman said, "everything is so bright and even tho it's cold it feels almost warm in a way, it's really special."

"I can't wait to see it then." Virgil said.

They wandered throughout town, and ended up playing a couple of games that were offered to them. Like one was to pass around a spinning hoop from stick to stick by flinging it around to each other, and another was to roll a small ball up a slope and to knock into another ball to knock into a different ball and see how far up you could reach on the slope.

They also stopped to get some food at one point, buying a bag of freshly baked sweet rolls the size of Virgil's palm that were stuffed with a sweet warm custard and drizzled with a sweet syrup, after those Logan insisted that they also needed protein so they each bought a turkey leg, which was just a turkeys leg roasted and glazed with a spicy honey sauce.

At one point they were all pulled into a dancing circle, and even though Virgil ended the dance with a stranger he still had a lot of fun, the person was an excellent dancer -despite being what looked to be no older than fifteen.

By the time the found a nice spot to sit and relax the sun had begun to set and the night was growing colder.

"No I'm serious, that buff guy I saw at the pie eating contest was being out-eaten by a kid smaller then Bailey," Roman said, "like the kid wasn't small or anything, but like gosh I don't know where he was putting it all."

"Maybe he had been waiting to eat till the contest and was really hungry?" Patton suggested from where he was tucked up against Virgil's side.

"Six pies Patton. Six. Whole. Pies. By himself."

"Okay I see your point."

Virgil had almost dozed off at one point, he was so comfortable. Patton had moved to sit in his lap at one point, while Virgil himself was pleasantly tucked close between Logan and Roman, so he was warm all around and the distant sounds of people having fun and chattering almost lulled him off, but he was pulled out of it by a gentle tapping on his shoulder.

"Look." He heard Logan whisper softly into his ear, which prompted Virgil to slowly peek his eyes open, not realizing he'd closed them.

The spot they'd chosen to sit down at was in a less populated area of the town, higher up and closer to the castle, and they could look down at the streets and see almost all the way to the docks.

He blinked slowly and opened his mouth to ask what he was supposed to be looking at, when a flicker of light caught his eye, then another, and another.
In a matter of seconds, the entire area of town bellow them was suddenly lit up with warm yellow lights, flickering into existence and bathing the town in a soft warm glow. He wasn't sleepy anymore.

"Come on, the walk back to the castle will take us through some of the streets with the lanterns, it's much prettier up close." Roman said from next to him, before he pressed a kiss to Virgil's cheek.

"Okay." Virgil said softly, and then patton was slipping out of his lap and they were all standing up, and his hands were quickly stolen by Patton and Roman as they began the walk back to the castle.

It was very cold outside, but Virgil was able to fully ignore the fact that he couldn't feel his toes or fingers, to distracted by all of the glowing lanterns that lit up the streets and cast them all in a warm yellow glow. It brought out a fuzzy feeling in his chest, something warm and happy, and he had the strong urge to either hug or kiss his boyfriends, maybe both.

It was mesmerizing really, everything was lit up like it was day time despite the inky black sky above, and the lights made the snow glimmer and somehow made everything seem cozy and almost home-like, it was amazing.

They were greeted by a pair of guards when they finally reached the castle, who informed him that his parents where on the highest balcony if he needed them.

He thanked them before leading his boyfriends inside, only to be interrupted by a servant who came up to them with a large sealed jug of hot apple cider and a stack of mugs.

"Ah you're here, you father asked me to give this to you when you arrived, it's still nice and hot and should warm you right up." The woman said, handing the jug to Roman and giving Patton the mugs.

"Thank you, and thank you for being here working instead of down at the festival." He added.

"Oh it's no trouble at all dearie, I'm getting a nice amount of extra pay for being here, along with some other goodies from your parents, and there will still be more festivities tomorrow that I can attend." She said with a kind smile, "but I need to go now, enjoy your evening." She said, before quickly bustling off to somewhere else in the castle.

Virgil quickly went about leading the other three to the wooden door with the sun, which revealed the same stone spiraling staircase -except now each window along the outer wall held a lit lantern that bathed the stairwell in a warm glow. And it was noticeably cleaned up.

"Oooh, secret staircase." Roman said with a small laugh.

"Oh just you wait till we get to the actual room." Virgil said with a smile, before heading up the stairs, the other three quickly following.

They soon reached the second door, which had a small note hung from the handle that Virgil quickly read.

'We weren't all that sure of what you wanted in the room, so for now we've just put a table and a set of comfortable chairs along with a small coal-stove so you don't freeze, and the above room is stocked with blankets and pillows for comfort. We can change and add things to the room that you may want later on, -Mother and Father.'

He stuffed the note into one of his pockets, a small smile on his face, before he opens the door to reveal the inside.

The note was correct, there were two overstuffed arm chairs and an equally over stuffed love seat now in the previously empty room, along with a few oil lamps. And there was also a small table near the chairs, and a small coal-stove with the pipe sneaking out one of the windows to release the smoke outside. The stove was already lit and the room was considerably warmer than the stairwell, and it also had a large round rug covering most of the floor.

"Aw this room his so tiny and cute," Patton said as Virgil closed the door behind them, "and there are even little lanterns in these windows as well." He added, and he was correct, there were small lit lanterns sitting on the sils of these windows as well, all of which were closed except for the one that held the pipe from the stove.

"Yes it is a lovely room, a little bare but that is to be expected considering the short notice." Logan said.

"It is very nice, but not the best for stargazing I have to admired." Roman said as he moved to peek out one of the domed windows.

"Well it's good that we're not stargazing in here then isn't it." Virgil said with a smile.

"I thought you said we were?" Patton asked with a confused from.

"We have to go up a little bit higher still." Virgil said as he moved to stand in the center of the room, bellow the small sun painting.

"I don't see how we're supposed to-" Logan trailed off as Virgil jumped up and pushed the sun into the ceiling -into the ceiling?

There was a small click and then the trap door slid open, and a wooden ladder slowly folded out and landed with a soft thump on the floor after Virgil had stepped out of the way.

"Secret room!" Roman stage whispered, an excited expression on his face.

Virgil laughed softly as he nodded, "yes, secret room." He said, "now come on up, this isn't even the best part yet." He said before making his way up the sturdy wooden ladder.

The others quickly followed him up, and into the utter darkness that was the room above, and Virgil carefully pulled the ladder back up and closed the hatch with a soft click so that none of them accidentally fell inside. His parents must have found the old ladder, because it did have a wooden panel that allowed it to blend in with the rest of the floor easily, save for a small latch that would allow it to unfold again when they wanted to go down.

"Okay, now watch." Virgil said as he quickly moved around the room before finding the small lock for the inner covering. He quickly unlocked it, and began to push the covering away, letting it fold in on itself as he rolled it along its track.

The view was even prettier at night. There was a perfect all around view of the entire towns and you could see the lit streets and roads bellow like veins of gold that glowed warmly. Looking up you could only see a canopy of stars, not a cloud in the sky. The glass wasn't even frosted or fogged up, giving them a crystal clear view of everything with only the thin window pains between the glass sheets to get in the way.

"Oh wow," he heard Patton breath softly next to him, and he turned to look over at him. He was illuminated by the glowing moon above, and his eyes were glittering with the light from the stars, he looked...really really pretty.

"Yea," he said softly, a fond smile sliding onto his face.

"This, is a really nice spot for star gazing." Roman said, "or just looking at anything." He added, earning a small laugh from Virgil and Patton and a chuckle from Logan.

Off to the side was a large stack of thick warm blankets an fur pelts, and several large pillows as well, and Virgil quickly walked over to gather some in his arms.
"Come one, let's get some stuff set up and comfortable, I'm ready for some cuddling."

They quickly went about setting everything up as comfortable as possible -the thickets of fluffiest blankets were laid out and folded together across the floor, and several pillows were sprinkled across it, and then they'd use the rest of the blankets to huddle up with, shifting everything a bit more after they'd all laid down and were nice and comfortable.

Virgil found himself basically plastered to Logan's side, with Patton on Virgil's other side and Roman next to him. They'd kicked offer their wet shoes before they'd gotten comfortable, but had kept their socks on. They'd also ditched their cloaks as well, but kept them close by in case they felt they needed more layers for warmth -although it was so warm with them all under the blankets and snuggled close to each other that Virgil doubted they'd need anymore layers.

He found himself relaxing into a content almost floating-ness. He was still aware of the things around him, but was content enough to only pay attention to some things -like Logan's soft voice as he pointed out constellation after constellation, or Patton's gentle hands rubbing small circles on his hips, or Roman as he occasionally cut Logan off to spew some fact about some myth in relation to the constellation. It was nice, really nice. He found himself almost dozing off again, and he let his eyes slide closed when someone's hand moved to massage at his scalp, a small hum escaping his lips.

"Ah, I think it might be time to head on down to the room bellow, or maybe even go to bed." Logan said.

"No, it's barely even late," Virgil mumbled softly, "I want to cuddle more."

"We can cuddle in bed," Roman said.

"Don't want to walk all the way there yet -we can go to the room bellow though, maybe have some cider." Virgil suggested as he let his eyes slide open.

"I suppose we can get away with staying up a bit later, but only one cup and then it's time for bed." Logan said as he carefully sat up, gently pulling Virgil up with him.

The trip back down to the lower room was sluggish at best. None of them really wanted to get up from their warm spots and move down stairs, but the idea of the comfortable couches, the stove, and the apple cider pushed them on till they all eventually found themselves in the room bellow with the hatch closed above them.

Virgil let Patton pull him over to the love seat, where he laid down with a hum and let Patton lay on top of him, smiling when his boyfriend nuzzled his face into the crook of his neck with a small hum.

"You can't drink cider laying down," Roman said from where he and Logan were pouring out three glasses -Patton had said he didn't want any at the moment.

"I'll take my chances," Virgil said as he looped his arms around Patton's waist and shifted a bit so he was sitting up a bit more, "happy?".

"I mean, I wasn't unhappy before -but sure." Roman said as he walked over and handed Virgil his cup.

The cider was still warm, which was a bit surprising, but he brushed it off as the jug being some what insulated and because the room was also fairly warm from the stove.

He took a sip of the sweet cider as Roman and Logan got comfortable together on one of the over stuffed chairs, Roman tucking himself into Logan's lap comfortably. It was cute.

"Remember, only one cup, and then we're going back to one of our rooms for bed." Logan said.

"Which means patty-cake over there can't fall asleep yet," Roman piped up, "unless we're gunna carry him down to bed."

"I'm still awake, don't worry." Patton mumbled softly, his face still tucked up against Virgil's neck. "I'll be able to walk my self down to bed." He added.

"If you say so Pat," Virgil said with a small laugh as he trailed his fingers up and down Patton's spine, taking another sip of his cider.

"Did you have fun today Virgil?" Logan asked, "It was your first Winters End festival after all."

"Yeah I had fun, spending the day hanging out, playing games and just relaxing with you guys was really nice." Virgil said as he turned to smile at the two of them.

"Aw, Virge you're melting my poor romantic heart," Roman said as he sent a smile back at Virgil, "I'm glad you had fun today, I know I had fun as well."

"Same for me," Logan added as he moved his unoccupied hand up to massage at Romans scalp.

"Me too," Patton said, pressing a kiss to Virgil's neck that had his cheeks flushing.

"Good," he said softly, "I'm glad we all had a good day."

They finished their cider not long after that, and somewhat reluctantly dragged themselves up from their spots and got ready to leave.
The stairwell was unpleasantly cold, especially compared to the warm room they'd just been in, but the main castle was much warmer, so they weren't cold for too long.
They still had plenty of cider left, which a still on duty servant quickly took from them, wishing them a good night before scurrying off to the kitchens.

They decided on Romans room in the end, grabbing Patton and Virgil's blankets along the way. They all quickly got ready for bed, changing into their pajamas and turning the lights out before crawling into bed and curling up again.

Virgil found himself tucked into Romans side, his boyfriends arm loosely wrapped around him, and Patton was on Romans other side, his head resting on Romans chest and Logan was on Patton's other side, his arms wrapped around Patton's waist.

"Love you," he mumbled softly as he snuggled closer to Roman, humming softly as he relaxed and sunk into the soft mattress.

"Love you too," Roman said, before he pressed a kiss to Virgil's forehead and the crown of Patton's head, earning a soft and sleepy laugh from him. "And you," he leaned over and pressed a kiss to Logan's nose, "and you."

"Hmm, love you all some much," Patton mumbled as he nuzzled his face against Roman's chest and reached his hand across Roman's torso to hold Virgil's hand. "You're all so warm, and soft, and cuddly, and soft, and warm, and hmm..." he muttered softly as he began to finally doze off, his eyelids slipping closed.

"I love you all as well," Logan said, ad his grip on Patton's waist seemed to tighten, "Goodnight."

"Goodnight," Virgil replied quietly, Romans humming softly in agreement.

It really was warm and comfortable, and the mattress was soft, and Roman was holding him close...he might just take a page from Patton's books and go to sleep.

Yeah, sleep sounded really nice, especially with the fuzzy feeling in his chest that made his heart flutter as Roman held him closer.

He pressed a feather light kiss to whatever he could reach in front of him, and he felt Roman laugh softly more than he heard him, his mind finally dozing off and leaving him feeling like he was floating, and he peacefully slipped into dreamland.
