[MAVERICK and Koharu had just finished their business with the Blacksmith]

Koharu: Looks like we cleared all the tasks for Forging and Upgrading. Let's go tell Argo!

[Koharu and MAVERICK head back to Argo]

Argo: Hey, you mastered upgrading, too! Keep upgrading your gear whenever you save up enough Col and Matierals. Not just your weapons and armor. Your Skill Record, too!

Koharu: Skill Records? Is that an item for listening to music or something? No, that can't be right...

[MAVERICK facepalms]

Argo: It records skills, not music! It's a useful item that lets you use different techniques depending on what you have equipped. Order are handy shortcuts. I'm still figuring them out myself but you can get rare skills that way if you're lucky! You need items called Arcana Gem to use them instead of Col. I think. Give it a try it you get any.

Koharu: Arcana? Like the tarot arcana?

MAVERICK: Those cards are used for fortune telling, right?

Koharu: In tarot, there are major arcana, or face cards, and minor arcana, which modern cards are based on. The major arcana are more famous.

Argo: Wow! You're a real expert!

Koharu: I don't really know much about it. I just had a friend who was into fortune telling. She used to read my fortune for fun.

MAVERICK: Any fortune about meeting me?

Koharu: Uh...

Argo: Skill Record take the form of cards, so maybe that's the origin of the name, or at least its etymology.

MAVERICK: Etymology? Please speak small words, Argo!

Argo: How don't you know?

MAVERICK: I'm a gamer. Not a scholar.

Argo: Etymology: the origin of words.

MAVERICK: Why didn't you say that the first time?

Argo: I like to be fancy.

MAVERICK: Says the girl dressed like a rat.

Argo: "Arcana" is the plural of the Latin "arcanum." It means "mystery." So Arcana Gem means "mysterious stone." They're gems that can be affixed to cards that summon skills from the possibilities of the past, present, and future.

MAVERICK: I see...

Argo: Do you really?

MAVERICK: Yes...

Argo: Hey, whatever you call it, a rose skill smells as sweet!

MAVERICK: Shakespeare. Really?

Argo: You seem like the theatre type. Anyway. They're useful and that's all that matters. When you get Arcana Gems, use Order to get Skill Record and upgrade them to raise their Skill Level. That's all you need to remember for now. It's kind of a lot but...Get the idea?

MAVERICK: I memorized every word!

Argo: Now I know you're lying.

Koharu: MAVERICK, stop flirting with Argo and ignoring me!

Argo: What's wrong, Koharu? What's wrong with a little competition?

Koharu: What! I need a review. I think. I'll remember it better once I try it with Maverick.

[We use our Arcana Gems to get rare Skills. Being super rich, I bought lots of Arcana Gems and got tons of rare skills for all my weapons and Koharu and her rapier. I'm so smart]
