Maverick POV

[Koharu and I head back to the room we rented out. She bought some casual clothes while we were out so she equips them. She made me stand outside even though it literally takes a second to decide what to wear. Is she putting on makeup too? I don't understand girls. To be fair I don't many personally. She's the first to stay with me this long. I hope it never ends. Seriously though, what's taking her so long?]

Koharu POV

[I made Maverick stand outside while I change. I don't know which one to wear. I want to be sexy but not too sexy. We're not there yet. I guess "cute" will have to work. I equip a t-shirt and some short shorts. Much better. I call Maverick in. We brought home leftovers from the one night. We sat down and began to eat. Tomorrow is the boss floor. To be honest, I was scared. We aren't that high of a level right now. Well, he is. I don't know how. I just want to be good enough to stay by his side. Also, I'm scared that this will be the last time I'll see him. If either of us dies, then this is it. I sat and enjoyed his company. I treasured every second I could get. We then head to bed. He slept in his clothes. I slept in what I put on. We laid down and I wrapped my arms around him]

Maverick: You okay?

Koharu: I'm scared, Maverick. I'm scared that tonight will be our last night. So I want to be with you as long as I can.

Maverick: I promise that you and I will make it through this game out alive. I promise.

Koharu: Don't make promises you can't keep.

Maverick: I do what I want. Now get some rest. We'll need it.

[We then fall asleep]

3rd Person POV

[And so night turned into day...]

Koharu: Good morning, Maverick. Let's show that Floor Boss what's what! Can't forget our promise to Sachi though. No getting in over our heads and getting hurt or anything, okay?

[The two head over to the rest of the group]

Diavel: Thank you all for coming! We now have all the players who joined us last night without a single straggler.

Kibaou: Course we're here. We believe in ya, and we're ready to move out with ya!

[Maverick notices Kirito and the Hooded Girl watching]

Diavel: We will now head out straight for the Floor 1 Labyrinth. You'll all move and operate as individual parties but go from the Teleport Monument to the labyrinth and head straight to the boss floor! Before we go, I have but one thing to say...To victory!

Fighters: YEAH!

Koharu: Everyone's all fired up. We've got to keep up, Maverick.

Maverick: Excuse me?

Koharu: You know what I mean!

[On the way, Maverick and Koharu see Kirito]

Koharu: Kirito, long time no see!

Kirito: Oh hey! I noticed you at the meeting. I was a bit surprised. I guess that means you've gotten tough enough to be on the front lines.

Maverick: Excuse me! I have enough strength to beat this game by myself.

Kirito: Sure. Well, not before I do.

Maverick: Excuse me!

Koharu: And a rivalry is born. Anyway, compared to you two? Hardly, I bet, But...

Kirito: Maybe not. I'm stuck on support duty for the vanguard. While you and the main party fight the boss, I'm supposed to fight the Kobolds that spawn around it. I'm basically the waterboy here.

Maverick: Uh huh.

[Koharu elbows Maverick. Seriously can anyone tell me how many times that's happened now? A/N: I really am curious]

Maverick: We're here to take down that boss!

Kirito: Sure you're not getting ahead of yourself? Don't let your optimism be your demise. This will be unlike anything you've ever seen!

Maverick: Excuse me! I'm a video game champion!

[Koharu elbows Maverick]

Koharu: Got it!

[The hooded girl comes forward]

???: Hey. Everyone else is in the labyrinth already. Don't you think we should get moving?

Kirito: (Sigh) All right. This is no time for chatter. Let's get moving.

Koharu: Oh but before we do, I'm Koharu. And this is...

???: Let's talk personal later. I'm going on ahead.

[The hooded girl walks away]

Kirito: Sorry, she's not the most sociable person.

Koharu: Oh no. I really shouldn't have been so foolish at a time like this. Plus compared to the last time we saw her she seems a bit more at ease. You two must make a good pair, Kirito.

Kirito: I guess but she keeps saying that she has to get stronger to impress someone. Who it is I don't know. Anyway, we're just partied up for the time being. We hardly know each other. Especially since she keeps talking about this other person.

Koharu: Still, seems like you're a good balance for one another.

Kirito: I guess. She'll have no need for me soon enough. She gets faster and more adept every day. She's got a promising path ahead. She's trying to impress someone of course.

Koharu: No, no, that's not what I mean. Kirito, do you really just judge a girl by how strong of a player she is? Anyway, I'm gonna head on ahead!

Kirito: Now that's a bit unfair, don't you think? Guess we better hurry up though or else we really will get left behind. Race you!

Maverick: You're so childish!

[The two start running]

Kirito: The labyrinth itself isn't too tricky, but monsters will come at you from side passages and such so you need to stay alert.

Maverick: I know how to play!

Kirito: I'll see you at the top then!

[Maverick runs by Kirito]

Maverick: Nope! I'll see you!

[The group makes it in front of the labyrinth]

Diavel: Right then. It looks like everyone is here. Once we open this door that'll be it. We'll be right at the boss battle. Once we enter, I need every party to take their positions. Remember that the reports stated that Illfang the Kobold Lord will change weapons when its HP is low. Once it switches from its axe to a scimitar, it will change up its attack pattern too. Make sure you don't get caught up by it. Let's go!
