"Attention please! There is a problem. We are going to collide with a huge meteorite. Due to some difficulties, it is hard to control Lando 47. Be seated and alert, I'm about to click the emergency button and the seat will shoot off in about...seven minutes." The voice bounced from the radio signals.

The astronauts were scared. Almost immediately, a jolt knocked the spacecraft off balance, and all the instruments went off.

Briston successfully hit a red button and the top of the rocket opened up as the seats shot out. Six astronauts thrusted out of the rocket by an unknown force and there was a big explosion afterwards.

It was a deadly occurrence. No one knew whether they survived.

"They would probably be dead by now." A man in his forties said sadly as he and the others with him watched the video of how Lando 47, a newly launched spacecraft crashed with the astronauts in them.

Another man walked inside. He was on a casual shirt and sandy pants which fitted his brown clogs. He looked at the already switched off television and sighed, "I don't think they crashed along with the spacecraft. We all saw them escape through the top of the rocket. They surely would have activated the emergency button. I'm sure they're alive. We need to send some people off to save them." He took a seat beside the large screen on the wall which had different screens connected to it.

"You are right about them escaping but we all know space doesn't support human survival. They would be dead by now, especially when they would already have low amounts of oxygen in their packs." The other man replied to him with a sigh. "There is nothing we can do about it."

1st February, 1955

2:00PM

The sun shone brightly but it was less scorching as it used to be. The hot breeze seemed fresher and everything seemed abnormally normal. Old men and women walked with oversized clothes while holding their young ones. It was an awkwardly busy day for Denis and Grace.

After walking for an hour just to check the whole thing, Grace found herself resting on a wooden bench. Denis looked at her and nodded sarcastically, "You must be enjoying the stroll right?" he asked her but when he saw she wouldn't be answering any moment from now, he clapped disturbingly at her face.

"I don't know why we had to be in the same place for Christ sake!" Grace finally lashed out her words at him. It was like she had been restricting those words until she was pushed to the wall. "Denis, why do we have to be in this awful place? My legs already hurt. Those foolish glares alone make me sick every second, I don't understand why we are here." she said as she looked at Denis.

Denis sat down beside her. "I don't know the reason but I think it is nature shining its light upon us."

She looked at him with little lines across her eyebrows, "What do you mean light? Isn't it nature torturing us? Our spacecraft exploded and unfortunately, we're here when we could have settled our butts and died in the process. At least someone might find our bodies and we would get the respect we deserve."

He laughed hard, almost croaking at her words. When she glared at him, he immediately composed himself, "Sorry, but I found that quite funny. I'm feeling this is related to time. Maybe we actually fell down to the past." he shrugged.

A little girl looked at them with a questioning look and walked away. Seeing this, Grace muttered, "We need to change our clothes to avoid all these glares. How do you think it is related to the past? The sky here is orange. Earth is blue. I hope you remember."

Denis cocked his chin slightly up, "I was expecting that. That's the reason I think we are in another universe. A parallel universe..."

Grace cut him short, "Oh no. Here you go again, the parallel universe doesn't exist. If it does, there would be physical proofs, not ordinary theories. We wouldn't be so lucky to have stumbled into an alternate realm." she pointed out. "And we need to ask these people about this place before we get stuck here forever."

"Then what else is it if we aren't in the past or if it isn't a parallel universe?" He folded his lips into a thin line. "Einstein's theo..."

Before he could complete his statement, Grace interrupted, "Why Einstein? Those very far gone old scientists... If I am right, he proposed all these theories about 100 decades ago, it is definitely invalid now. Why don't you look at the new ones? Felix Lockwood, John Collins, Peter Mutor, all these people are late 22nd century scientists. Why are you so interested in Einstein?"

"You are right, but I think Einstein is the closest to it. He is still one of the best ancient scientists. I feel more connected to him and knowing the truth is the only way to discover why we are here. I mean, I'm as surprised as you are. All these things are weird too but they seem interesting. I love interesting things."

Grace nodded at him and they kept walking around until she finally attempted to call on a young lady in a long gown with a black waist band. She had long hair hugging her slim waist.

"Yes. What help might thou need?"

"We are lost. Please could you tell us what year we are?"

The lady's eyes cocked in at first before she curled her cheek, "Year 1955. Where thou cometh from? Ye dress not familiar. Ye from the future?" she said much to their surprise.

Denis and Grace almost choked when they heard "1955". Denis found her interesting. Does she believe in time travel too?

"Yes, we are from the future. Thank you."

They both walked without waiting any longer. The lady's eyes were fixed on them still.

It was getting clear to Denis. He didn't understand but he knew this was related to Einstein. Because it was the year he died in a hospital. 'What if he is still alive right now?' he gasped. He had always dreamt to talk or see him and now, 'isn't it happening?'

He planned to talk with him about the parallel universe. Maybe in this case, he would believe his theory is real and that they are from another universe. Though, piling up the little stones it was still confusing, infact it wasn't factual at all.

How could they be in the past and in another universe? According to what he had researched on, the parallel universes might not be exactly the same but there is no time difference. It was supposed to be the same year in the two universes.

He felt he wasn't patching up the real holes, something was missing. They both later agreed on meeting the great scientist and also trying to find their remaining colleagues. Bet they might even be more confused than they are.

What bothered Denis most was if Einstein was still alive and if he could actually stop his death. He didn't know the reason but had a gut feeling that his death was related to the parallel universe.
