"Use one 2nd language to introduce yourself" One of the committee officials declared out.

Obviously at the point Alyssa took the advantage. I mean, being the first person to speak up would also leave people a good impression, right? So, she cleared her throat and started introducing herself:

"Hey there, My full name is Lee Yiu Kei Alyssa, but my friends just call me by Alyssa. I'm in form 2 this year. My hobbies are editing videos, composing music pieces and doing arts and crafts. I hope by using the opportunity of joining the committee to give back to the school in the wonderful school life it had provided me with and helping out with functions."

As she finished her last sentenced, she glanced and saw a few of the officials gave her a nod of approval, and thats where she finally did calm down.

After hearing introductions from the others, they then moved on to another topic.

"What made you have a heart or the passion in joining the committee?"

Alyssa paused. Would my answer be awkward and unprofessional? Should I make something up to set my profile better? She thought to herself.

I got to concentrate.

So she opened her mouth,

And lied.

"So I wanted to join because I want to contribute to the school, and also I've done these AV things before, so I'm confident to do well in the team."

- huh, the officials seem to buy it, hope I get in.

After half an hour of more questions, they were done and free to leave-

A few more days pass, and Alyssa got an email from the committee.

"Thankyou for participating in the interview... your daughter has been selected as a trainee for the committee-"

"Oh well," She said, heart racing, "lets get things started."
