The only stable thing that we'll
ever have in this life is the
instability. It is quite
a sobering fact that the one
thing we will always be able
to count on is change. No day is
the same and each differs from the
previous or the next, very
much like every human be-
ing or every snowflake or
every book that has ever
been written. Regardless of what
happens, people will be born and
will die each day; the ocean will
wash away old seashells and the
tide will bring in new ones; we will
fall in and out of love; the sea-
sons will change and rain will freeze and
snow will melt and the flowers will
bloom and die again. One day, none
of the stars that we see tonight
will even still exist, because
someday they will all have explo-
ded. They say to count our blessings
and to create change, but we will
count our change and create blessings,
because blessings should be forged by
us all, and because change is the
only constant in an unpre-
dictable human life.
