Terminology;
•Major Arcana - A group of 22 people with extraordinary abilities. In the past, they were hailed as messengers of gods [angels] or even gods themselves. They have very short lives, the oldest known to live only reaching their early thirties. They only reappear during times of need in Zen, such as their revolution and now, their war.
•Haven - The Haven has existed since before Zen became free from Breviel (plot twist o.o). It is a large castle inside Zen's forest that is shielded away by the power of an older incarnation of the Major Arcana.

Important Events;
•5th day of Month 10; National Holiday, basically their Independence Day
•10th day of Month 1; National Holiday in honor of the gods, first day of spring.
•Birthday of a Lord/Lady; Local holiday.

Customs;
•Gender is not very binary. Many gods in Zen's main religion do not have a gender and one has the ability to switch between a male and female sex. So unless a character is not part of the main religion then they're very open minded about gender.

•Family's tends to only have 1-3 children, having more is unheard of.

•The eldest child takes over as head of the family, regardless of gender.

•Agriculture is the number one profession. Weaving is a close second. They have a flourishing trade as well.

•Flowers are an important part of culture here and they have such vast meanings they could almost be used as a language.
•Sunset, or "First Star" is very important to them. Kind of like how Sunday's are seen as the lords day, sunsets are their Sundays.

•Zen is hailed as a survivalist country; meaning that almost every person in the county can defend themselves in battle, survive in the wild, or are extremely quick at adapting. Mostly due to the Simple Gifts.

•In their culture, the men are the ones to propose using a necklace, not because they're the ones who are going to financially support them or whatever, but because of a myth/folk tale about how the God of Stars strung a necklace out of stars and gave it to the Goddess and yeah it's cute.
