It was now early December, and snow had just begun falling down from the skies. It was a cold, breezy morning and you had to go to school. It sucks, but you still want to go nevertheless. You wanted to see Alya after all.

She's slowly starting to notice you, and you pretended to love it.

On your way to school, you felt snow crumbling under the sole of your shoes. You watched kids playing with the snow, but you soon averted your gaze. You don't have time for any of that.

Eventually, you reached the school where Alya was waiting. She waved to you with a smile on her face. You smiled lightly, waving back. She gave you a big hug, platonically kissing your head after. That made you grin.

You walked inside the classroom. Most students wore the coziest, warmest clothes. Those were Rose, Mylene, Sabrina, Nathaniel, and Ivan. Some of them held cups of cocoa made by Marinette. Sabrina was helping Chloe taking pictures of herself. Alix and Kim were having a contest between them to see who's the strongest one against the cold; looks like Kim is losing. Luka was busy having a conversation with Ellie who looks like she needs a hug. Kagami was jamming with her headphones, her fingers drumming onto the table. Ms. Bustier was reading a book, held with her glove-covered hands.

All in all, it was a cute scenery.

Not the fact that Adrien was talking to Marinette.

It bothered you.

It bothered you that he was so close...

It bothered you that he's talking to her, not you.

It bothered you that he doesn't need you anymore.

It bothered you that after all you've done for him, all he did was to abandon you for someone else.

It bothered you completely.

You turned to Alya, who was busy texting her boyfriend. You watched her, from your seat. You internally begged her to tell you something about him. Tell you just what they were talking about these couple of weeks. Tell you why he doesn't need you anymore. Tell you why you're like this. Tell you why you're worthless and a defect. Just tell you everything, like the old times.

You kinda missed everything that was before.

You looked down and began to think deeply. You shouldn't have let them befriend you. You shouldn't have noticed them. You should've been alone forever, you didn't care.

You sighed. You didn't know what to do.

So after a while, you decided to just let it all go. Maybe you're overreacting. A lot. You shook your head at yourself. Ugh. You groaned internally. You hated yourself for wasting all of those tears for someone. You winced, remembering all the times you had cried. You cringed, laughing to yourself.

Ugh, no. Why did I do that to myself?

You laughed and laughed quietly. I can't keep doing this to myself.

You smiled, hopefully thinking that your future will now be full of happiness and joy.

The class dismissed pretty early today, maybe Principal Damocles thought that it would be a good thing to just rest. So students went home early, but some decided to stay for their friends. That includes Alya, Adrien, Nino and you.

Everyone was bundled up in their winter clothing. Nino was walking besides his girlfriend, Alya, as you unfortunately had to walk besides Adrien. You placed your hands inside your pockets, you were currently interested at the snow-covered ground you're walking on, it was really--

"Hey, Y/N."

You flinched, putting your hand above your heart. You were suddenly anxious, nervous, terrified. You have no choice but to answer him in an instant. You didn't want to leave the guy hanging. "Uh, hey..." you said quietly. You cringed internally for how awkward you were, but above that, you were now confused and your mind stopped thinking for a moment.

Why is he talking to you right now?

Are you dreaming? You're sure you were wide awake. You sucked in a deep breath and placed your fringe behind your ear. You snuck a glance beside you and saw him smiling as he walked. Nino then decided to go to the park to just chill and hang out.

The four of you eventually reached the park filled with snow and some children. You smiled at the sight of them playing with the snow. You finally found a place to sit along with your friends where Nino sit with Alya, next to you, who's next to Adrien, who was warm.

But then unluckily, Alya (the freaking shipper), pulled Nino away wanting to take pictures. Nino invited Adrien, but declined the request, saying that he wants to stay and brood. Nino didn't ask you after Alya whispered something in his ear.

You clutched the fabric of your attire as you clenched your teeth. She wanted this. They're both planning this!

Alya quickly pulled her boyfriend away, quietly sending you a wink. You sneakily made a hand swiping motion on your neck with a glare. She just laughed.

Meanwhile, you straighten your position, placing your hands in between your legs. You awkwardly tapped your foot and breathed.

"Are you alright?"

You jumped again. You properly adjusted your position and thought about the question asked by him. Am I alright? I think.

"Yeah. I am," you managed to tell him without stuttering. "How about you?"

Adrien smiled. "I'm alright, I guess. Everything's still the same."

You nodded in understanding. The atmosphere was now awkward and quiet again and it bugged you. You looked around in your surroundings, seeing Alya and Nino walking around the park, taking pictures and laughing. You rolled your eyes, remembering that they were the reason you sat next to Adrien in this bench right in this park.

Eventually, you sat more comfortably, either because you're not feeling awkward anymore or it's because you're getting bored. Adrien suddenly stood up, stretching a bit before walking towards a pile of snow.

"Wh-where are you going?" You asked, watching his every step.

He bent down and scooped a handful of snow. "Just watch," he formed it into a ball and aimed it towards the cap-wearing boy next to his girlfriend. He gave you a smirk. "and learn." Adrien threw the ball-formed snow in full force, hitting Nino's head.

"OW!"

Alya and Adrien laughed hysterically, making you chuckle a bit, which eventually turned into full laughter. Unexpectedly, you and Adrien shared glances. He displayed a huge grin, and you smiled in return, your heart fluttering a bit in this small practical contact.

Of course, this whole thing had to end when Nino called that he had to go home since his family needs him. Alya had to go home to because she has to take care of her twins.

"Y/N, are you going?" Alya suggested.

You shook your head. "Nah. I think I want to stay."

"So hey, Adrien, wanna come with?"

"No thanks. Gorilla's supposed to pick me up half an hour ago but since he's not here yet, I suppose I have to walk home." He replied, shrugging.

Nino smiled. "Oh, okay. See you guys tomorrow!" He walked with Alya far away...

...and that leaves you and Adrien.

He was on his way to the exit when he turned to you. "I can walk you home."

"Oh," you said, shaking your hands. "I can walk by myself. You don't have to--"

He smiled. "I know you can. I just want to walk you home."

With that, your face heats up against the cold air. "Um.. I-"

"Come on," Adrien interrupted. "I'm not taking no for an answer." He extended his glove-covered hand.

You slightly hesitated, but nonetheless, you took it. Although it was really cold, holding his hand was actually a warm feeling. He tightened his grasp whereas you remained still. The two of you walked to the exit and into the sidewalk. There weren't many transport because of the weather and the roads were full of snow. It was just the two of you walking home- which was still far away.

You can't still fathom why he's doing this for you. You know that he's always full of surprises but every time he did, it was so unexpected.

So here you are, starting to forgive him. You stared at him as he guided you through the sidewalks. His mint green eyes were so lively and full of spirit every time you get the chance to look at it. His smile that was always present, and his laughter that is playful and animated.

All of a sudden, without warning, he glanced at your direction. You immediately averted your gaze with a blush on your cheeks, letting go of his hands. You sniffed awkwardly, feeling embarrassed more than ever. You ducked your head, your face still red, as you stared into the white-covered ground.

You then noticed that it was snowing, and you had to stopped in your tracks to observe the falling crystals. Hands now in your pockets, you watched this one snowflake dropping before your nose. You stayed still and waited for it to melt slowly.

"Why are you so adorable?"

You snapped out of it, quickly wiping the water from your nose by the sleeve of your (coat/jacket). You searched for every person in the neighborhood he could possibly say this to, but you found no one. You finally faced him, pointing to your chest. As if you knew he understood the reference, he nodded with a slight chuckle. "A-are you... sure?"

"Yes, I do." Adrien replied. "Now come on, your house is just around the corner." He grabbed your cold hand again as you tried to recover your flushed and warm face cheeks. You shook your head harshly and attempted to wake from your dream. Nothing worked.

Still, the snow continued to fall and a few people, with their winter clothes, rushed to get to their places. "Hey," you said, slightly concerned. "Isn't it a bit dangerous now that the snow is getting stronger?"

"Yeah, I know," he countered, eyes still on the road. He then turned to you. "But as long as you're safe, I'll be alright." Adrien smiled.

You didn't reply, feeling too difficult to handle these emotions. You wanted to hate Adrien for casually saying these caring words, but you know it to be true that you can't.

You eventually arrived at the entrance and you frantically reached for your keys. It opened.

"Well," Adrien said as he now headed to the opposite way. "I gotta go."

Before he did, you had done the boldest move you've ever done.

"Wait," you grabbed his arm. Adrien instantly looked at you. You hesitantly continued, "Maybe... you could stay... until the snow ends?"

After that, he showed you one of the biggest smiles he posed, making you smile as well. The both of you went inside as you readied two cups of cocoa. "You're going to love this! It will the best cup of cocoa you'd taste!"
