The ball room was lit up once more, the occasion?

Alden's Birthday as a few knew. 

Of course it was made as formal and stuffy as possible by the Queen, starched collars and gleaming glasses.

The lights seemed a bit....off though. Shadows danced along with the skirts, marble floor icy cool, the pleaing violin cried out in the silence. Gradually softness overcame the harsh edge, each easing into the current scene, dreadful dancers dancing dreadfully, others seemingly to glide or perhaps just not dancing as dreadfully.

Throughout the whole room on the edges guards stood at position, security seemed to have been uped since the false Adrian, but the added guards just seemed to add to the tension.
