The King stood on the royal platform, surveying the crowd of selected. In just a little bit it would be thinned even more, it having already shrunk since the last time a similar meeting had been called.

He took one step forward, the room immediately diving into silence at the fall of his foot. Folding his hands neatly in front of him he tilted his head, his crown flashing in the light. "We have come quite far as you all know. It is however without reluctance that today I read the list of those leaving. You've had your time, Elaine and I have determined those who's time is spent.,"

With a small cough to clear his throat he pulled out the scroll bearing the names of those who would be departing.
