The limo was waiting for us in the circle. The chauffeur held the door open as Abby and I scooted in followed by Mike and Amy.

Hidaya flung the diaper bag onto the seat and it rolled all the way to the back. "Please take us home," she told the driver. She pushed her way into the backseat holding Braxton. Ty was behind her. They were a hot mess. I actually felt bad for them that they had the worst evening of all.

Ty flung himself against the seat and stared at the ceiling lights. He looked like he was ready to die. "This has been the worst night ever."

"I know, baby, I know," Hidaya said.

Dylan got in with Sarah and wrapped his arms around her.

The limo pulled out of the downtown parking lot into the street.

Dylan turned on the radio.

"Uh... no music!" Ty shouted and rubbed his eyes. "I have a headache."

"I'll get you some headache medicine," I said. I asked the driver to make a stop at the convenience store by our neighborhood. I frequented there and Rodrigo, the owner, always made conversation with me when I went to pick up condoms. The limo rolled into motion.

Sarah looked at Dylan. "Let's open the sunroof."

"Good idea, honey." Dylan pressed a button and the roof opened up.

It was odd hearing him call her honey.

Abby stood up and poked her head out too. "C'mon, Jayden."

I stood up, wrapping my arms around her. She laid her head against my chest, sending spiraling thrills down my body. We watched the street lights and trees whiz by. With the four of us standing out the sunroof there was plenty of space.

The wind blew through our hair. I nuzzled my face into Abby's neck, breathing in her scent. "This is better than any football game." Which was equivalent to saying this is better than winning the lottery, or having Dream Bean in my book.

I don't think she got the metaphor the way I wanted her to. She kind of nodded. We put our foreheads together, closing our eyes.

"Watch your hands," Dylan said through gritted teeth.

I hadn't noticed, but my hands were resting right at the top of her butt. I moved them up to her back.

Abby pulled away turning red in the face. She had heard him. "Like you should be talking! You two didn't even show your faces at the dance."

Dylan arched an eyebrow. "And?"

"Where were you?" She sounded like my science teacher when anyone took too long in the restroom.

"Non e of your business," he said and looked back into Sarah's eyes like she was glistening eye candy and then moved his eyes to me, giving me intimidating stare.

We pulled into the convenience store parking lot. I could see Rodrigo running the register through the window.

Abby and I got out followed by Dylan and Sarah.

Rodrigo spoke to me with his Spanish accent. "Hey, Jayden. Oh, you're all dressed up! You kids must be out for a special evening!" He moved his eyebrows up and down and a devilish grin spread over his face.

I perused the shelf for some Ibuprofen. "Yep. It's Homecoming."

I could hear Sarah talking to Dylan in the other aisle. "I want some chocolate covered pretzels, and you can feed them to me."

Abby rolled her eyes and whispered so only I could hear, "Feed yourself, bitch."

I walked up to the counter with the bottle and set it down. I looked back at Abby.

She was bending over to pick up some pop rocks. Her tits dangling.

Sarah and Dylan lined up behind me with the Flipz pretzels.

"So," Rodrigo turned around and grabbed a box of condoms from the shelf behind him.

My face got hot and I tried to wave my hands to show him I didn't want them.

He smiled and placed the box in front of me. "Your regular order?"

I face palmed as Abby walked up to the counter beside me and I swear, I think I heard Dylan growl over my shoulder. Abby raised her eyebrows.

"Ah, no, Rodrigo... I don't need those."

"Oh? Not tonight?" He looked straight at Abby who looked like a deer in headlights. "Trojan would go out of business if it wasn't for you." He chuckled.

Abby glared at me, then started to dug through her purse for change, threw it on the counter to pay for her pop rocks, and headed for the limo.

I couldn't believe Rodrigo did me like that in front of Abby.

Dylan laughed.

"Shut up, Dylan," I said. "Here," I threw my money at Rodrigo and grabbed the ibuprofen. I turned around and gave him the finger on my way out.

Rodrigo yelled after me, "It was just a joke!"

Abby was sitting in the limo, pinching pop rocks and putting them on her tongue.

"Abby." I scooted up next to her.

She scooted away.

"C'mon... I didn't ask him for those."

"That's not the problem, Jayden," she whispered.

"Then what?" Geez, girls can be confusing as hell.

She narrowed her eyes at me. "How big of a man whore are you really?"

"Why does it matter?" I asked, scooting closer to her while dodging the question.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I just want to go home."

I felt helpless. There was nothing more that I wanted than to be with her. I didn't even expect to sleep with her. Wait... I didn't expect to sleep with her! I actually wanted to spend time just getting to know her. I actually respected her. She was ready to give it up earlier and now she was rejecting me.

"Hey, Jayden," Ty said, "Where's that ibuprofen?"

I handed it to him.

Dylan and Sarah bounced into the backseat.

The chauffeur headed to Ty's house which was not far from the convenience store. He pulled up to the curb and the three of them ambled out to the sidewalk. Braxton laid his head on Ty, his cheek squashed into his shoulder making his chubby mouth open like a salmon. They traipsed like zombies up to the front door.

We stopped at Mike's, then Amy's, but when we pulled up to Sarah's we were surprised to find out that Dylan was spending the night there.

"Are you serious Dylan?" Abby asked.

"Yep. I'll be home early tomorrow morning. Don't wait up." They scooted out leaving Abby and me alone.
