This is why you do extensive deep dive research on any company that offers you a randomnpublishing deal... I've been getting random emails and text messages from what seem like legitimate companies offering me THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME publishing deal...the company that just messaged me IS a real company, HOWEVER!!! It is a vanity press, which drains you of thousands of dollars from your own pocket, and doesn't promise any results.

ALWAYS DO THESE STEPS TO MAKE SURE YOU, AND YOUR BOOKS WILL BE SAFE WHEN SUBMITTING: 

1. Research the company. Most times they have a fake website, so always check their credentials.

2. Do your research on who works for the company and who runs it. If their books or they look rushed with a sketchy cover, it's probably a scam.

3. CHECK THE REVIEWS... Real reviews from customers. Reddit is a great place to check.

4. If it's too good to be true from first glance, it probably is. Don't waste your energy on them.

Stay safe out there, writing friends. And if anything, do the work yourself. I've had Wattpad authors tell me they would have self published if they had the opportunity.
