  LILIANA ANDERSON HAD PROBLEMS JUST LIKE every high school student does. Sometimes her clothes didn't fit, or her homework was too hard, or her crush didn't like her back. Those weren't the problems she was worried about though, not when life dealt her such a tough hand.

Her and her best friend Tory were one in the same, and the only person she didn't feel like punching in the face every day of her life. They lived in the same apartment complex, worked the same jobs, and always had each others backs, through thick and thin. It all started when Lil's dad got arrested, and her mom got into drugs real bad.

She started having to raise herself, and she was only twelve at the time. On her thirteenth birthday, she met Tory in the "courtyard" of their complex, and they baked a box cake that was hidden in the back of her cabinet. From then on, the two girls were attached to the hip.

Both of them had nobody in their lives to show them right and wrong, and both of them had to fight for every scrap they were given but, each night her mom came home high, Liliana grew angrier and angrier. It was never-ending lies from the woman and those lies? Turned Lil into a cynic.

So, when Tory decided to join Cobra Kai, why would her best friend deny the chance to let some anger out?
