What would any editing shop be without set rules in place? Here at The Serenity Community we aim to be an inclusive and respectful place so with that said, let's get the rules explained!

1. Follow this community and your editor of choice permanently. Your editor is taking time out of their busy lives to help you so this is the bare minimum you can do to repay them for their services.

2. Add this book to your private reading list to get updates.

3. Give this book a shout out on your page.

4. Be patient. This is very important. Our editors have lives outside of Wattpad so they cannot be here 24/7. When you fill the form out, you must wait. When waiting for an editor to do their work, you must be patient.

5. Complete your editor's payment first. When an editor accepts your request, they will not start until you complete payment first. This is to ensure that their work is rewarded!

6. Make sure you read the editors pages properly. Each editor has their preferred genres, preferred focus', etc.

7. An editor has the right to reject your form! With that being said, we can ask another editor to step in and do it for you, if you wanted.

8. Be respectful. Do not be rude to anyone. This includes the head admin, moderators, editors, fellow clients, etc. We do not tolerate rudeness and any signs of this will have your form removed and your name off the queue.

9. Ensure your work is on google docs or somewhere where the editor can see your work and edit it but speak to your editor on how they want to complete the edit as each editor is different.

10. Communicate with your editor. Never ghost your editor. If you do not reply when your editor contacts you, they have a right to move on to the next client! This is fair to keep the queue moving.

How this works:

You might be wondering how this works, well it is quite simple. Allow us to explain.

First of all, you will read through our editors pages and read through, yes read, this it important to ensure you have seen their focus' and preferred genres.

Next, you will fill the form out. This can be found at the end of each of our editors pages. You will fill this as a single inline comment. Make sure to tag the editor so they see it!

You will wait for your editor to accept and they will PM you regarding your work. You will discuss how the editor will do their work and if you need your chapters as a google docs you will do it.

Once your editor has completed their work they will contact you via PM's of the preferred app of choice and they will send us a copy or let us know so we know they have done their work.
