Has anyone ever heard of Mr. Beast?

He's a massively famous YouTuber known for using insane amounts of cash to do positive things like buying people houses or throwing silly competitions where the winner gets $10k or whatever. If anybody remembers the Pewdiepie vs T-Series thing, this guy was at the forefront of the supporters trying to help Pewds through memes.

Here's an example of one of his videos:

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

Apparently,,, he's also active on Facebook. And who also uses Facebook a lot?

My dad. My 42-year-old, redneck veteran dad.

I'm sitting with my family waiting for our food to come out when my dad laughs while checking his phone. He shows me his Friend Request list, asking if I know who his newest requester is. The person asking to be his friend is Mr. Beast's official account.

Me, bewildered: "How do you know him??"

My dad, smugly: "I comment on his posts all the time. He does some awesome things"

I look at my sister and we have the same exact thought—what the actual hell???? My dad has never spoken of Mr. Beast once to us and now he's friends with him on Facebook.

Anyways, my dad then accepts the friend request. Mr. Beast sends him a message of a waving emoji. Dad replies thanks for adding him and he loves his work. I'm super curious to see if their convo continues.

And yes, I did ask my dad for screenshots to prove this happened but he said no. He's been poking fun at me saying I'm jealous of his Facebook fame lmao

Idk how I feel about this. This is the weirdest timeline 🥴
