Nikita reached out her mind and searched for the Generals' minds, finding them after searching through the soldiers.
He's going towards Brimstone. She told them.
Gather what forces you can and head that way. He'll summon more mobs to help him there.
Nikita waited a couple moments before they answered.
On it. They said.
Nikita and the Dragon assisted the army by taking out a large group of mobs with a plume of purple fire. That freed the army to move towards Brimstone, moving quickly through the trees and tall grass.
What they found shocked her. The city itself was untouched, but the villages and the forests around it were burning, the orange and gold flames tinging the sky an eerie reddish-orange.
Thousands of mobs with white eyes were gathered outside of Brimstone, and Nikita looked back to see their army. It was definitely smaller in size, but they had to try, and she watched as the army advanced and engaged them.
"You still persist." Said Herobrine, appearing next to the Dragon.
"Even though you can't win this."
Suddenly Nikita realized something as she watched Herobrine survey the battle below them.
She hadn't seen any of the Servants amongst the mobs that had attacked the army earlier. They still had yet to be some a part of the war being fought.
No! She though as she saw Herobrine smile evilly.
From the tree line burst what must have been verging on a thousand Servants. The army now didn't outnumber Herobrine's army any longer, and the Servants were harder to kill.
We have to help them! Said Nikita.
We have to battle Herobrine, Nikita. Said the Dragon, turning towards him.
That's the army's only hope.
Suddenly something swooped over Nikita, knocking her off the Dragon's back and carrying her away from the Dragon. It took her a second to realize that it was the winged Servant she had encountered earlier, the Master.
Nikita! The Dragon called.
Fight him! I'll take care of this!
Nikita summoned a bolt of lightning that struck one of its black wings, making it drop her and hiss in pain. She quickly created a small portal and came out on the ground, in the middle of the fighting.
Mobs immediately started attacking her, and she killed them as they came.
Nikita jumped when she bumped into someone, and turned to see Elijah, beaten, bruised and bloodied, but still fighting.
"Glad to see you're alive." Said Nikita as the fought back to back.
"You to." Said Elijah.
Nikita heard the sound of flapping wings getting closer to her and told Elijah to grab onto something. He improvised and instead knocked a Servant off its black horse and road a safe distance away from her as she stabbed her sword into the ground and released the energy trapped inside it.
She then threw the sword at the Master, hitting it in the side. It hissed and went down, but it wasn't dead. The Master pulled the sword out of its side and faced Nikita once again, throwing the diamond blade to the ground, its white eyes full of hatred.
Nikita summoned the sword to her and met the thing head-on, their swords clanging together.
Both the Master and Nikita were matched on speed, but Nikita was stronger, so the Master resorted to attacking her from above.
She parried the blows as best she could, wishing that she had a shield that she could use. As she watched the Master rise higher into the air, however, she had an idea.
Nikita waited until the Master was high enough up to signal the Ender Dragon.
Now! She told the her.
Nikita ducked as rippling fire seared the air above her and engulfed the Master. When the fire ceased and she didn't see the Master return she named it a triumph and turned to the battle laid out before her.
Keep Herobrine distracted, try to do some damage to him. She told the Dragon.
They need me down here.
Alright. Said the Dragon, turning and roaring in Herobrine's direction.
Nikita saw Elijah battling several Servants on horses from his own black steed, and she suddenly wondered where Grey Wind was.
She pushed the thought aside and ran over to help him, but four different Servants blocked her way, backing her slowly into a wall of burning trees.
Nikita reached out her mind and easily took control of one of the Servant's minds and made it kill the other three before killing the final one herself.
This left an opportunity for her to help Elijah, and she took it, sprinting over to where he was fighting and slashing at one of the horse's legs, crippling it and spilling the rider to the ground.
She promptly stabbed her diamond sword through fallen Sefvant's chest and turned around with lightning fast reflexes to counter another's attack, whipping her blade around and cutting its wrist, making it drop its blade and hiss in pain.
She summoned a bolt of lightning and aimed at a group of mobs and Servants, making them fly in all directions while she cut her blade across the Servant's face, killing it.
Nikita then heard a roar of pain echo through the air, and she saw the Ender Dragon crash into Brimstone's enchanted walls, smashing them and the buildings behind them to pieces, Herobrine floating above her.
"No!" She shouted over the din of the battle.
Nikita! The Dragon said, her voice pleading.
"It's a useless fight, Warrior." Came Herobrine's voice.
"With the walls down I can take the city now."
Nikita looked around her and saw soldiers dying all around her, the number of Servants getting more and more, starting to noticeably outnumber them.
He's right. She told the Dragon, though it hurt her heart to admit it.
If we keep fighting we will all die, and with us all hope will die. She said, killing two Servants.
We can't give up. Said the Ender Dragon, struggling to rise from the rubble of the city.
It's the only way. Said Nikita, fighting alongside Elijah once again.
Besides, you're too hurt. You can't go on fighting like this.
Suddenly everything around them was on fire, trapping what was left of the army in a circle of fire, mobs and Servants.
There was nowhere to go.
"Give up now and I will let your loved ones live, Nikita." Said Herobrine, floating above the hopeless scene, a look of pure manic evil one his face.
A sense of hopelessness filled Nikita. This was it, all that they had fought for was going to be lost.
I can create a portal, get everyone through it. Said Nikita, her voice desperate.
At least then we will all be safe.
Are you sure that you can create a portal to a place that far away? Asked the Dragon.
No, but I have to try. Said Nikita.
"Elijah!" Yelled Nikita, yanking her sword out of a Servant's dead body only to turn and kill another.
"Yeah?" He shouted over the din of battle, killing a group of zombies.
"Tell everyone that you can find that I'm creating a portal. We can't stay here, or else we will all die."
Nikita dodged a fireball that was aimed at her from Herobrine, narrowly missing being burned again.
"Alright!" Said Elijah, disappearing into the chaos unfolding around her.
I'll protect you while you create it. Said the Dragon.
Are you sure you can? Asked Nikita, feeling the Dragon's pain through their mental connection.
It's your only chance. She said.
Nikita heard another roar echo through the evening air and looked up to see the Ender Dragon and Herobrine fighting once again.
Nikita could see the pain burning bright in the Dragon's eyes, and she could see why.
Herobrine must have struck her wing with a lightning bolt, as the grey webbing between the bones was black and torn, and the scales around the wing joint and covering the wing bones several shades darker than normal.
Just hang in there. Thought Nikita as she concentrated on what she had to do, summoning enough power to open a portal big enough to fit three people through.
She sensed several Servants coming towards her, but kept feeding energy into the portal, imagining a forest in the Far Lands that Nikita had seen in a book she had read a long time ago.
Nikita felt the Servants coming closer, but if she turned to fight them the portal would collapse and fade, their only hope gone.
She opened her eyes and saw the forest in the other side, and she internally rejoiced. That was when the Servant's sword connected with her shoulder, knocking her to one knee and sending stabbing pain up her neck and down her arm.
It hadn't pierced the armor, but it still hurt, and the portal wavered slightly. She kept the energy flowing into it, beginning to feel her power drain.
The next blow was to her side, the force of it knocking her over. She caught herself with her left hand, gasping as pain blossomed outward from where the blade had connected with the armor. The next blow she managed to block with her blade, but it was knocked from her hand by the third Servant.
This time the portal wavered, almost faded and then came back, glowing brightly. Nikita waited for the next blow but it never came.
She looked up and saw Elijah battling them, keeping them off her back.
Nikita silently thanked him and told the nearest soldiers to go through the portal. The army began go through the portal three at a time, Elijah and her parents fending off any mobs or Servants who came too close.
After ten agonizing minutes they were all through except Elijah, her parents, Thomas, the Ender Dragon and herself.
"Go!" She told her family and Elijah.
They did, casting her one last encouraging look before going through the portal.
Your turn. She told the Dragon.
Nikita put everything she had into growing the portal big enough to fit the Ender Dragon into it and watched as the great black dragon swooped through it, feeling what power she had left drain until there was only a little bit left.
The portal shrank in size, making it only able to fit one person through.
That was when she saw Herobrine turn to her, anger filling his eyes. She jumped through the portal, closing it just as Herobrine's enraged fireball came at it.
Nikita lay on the ground for several minutes after that, trying to register what had just happened, and trying to regain some of her strength.  Intense pain filled her head, making it impossible to think, and her shoulder and side ached badly.
The soldiers who had made it quietly waited for Nikita to say something, every one of them also trying to recover from what they had gone through in the last hour and half.
That's when she realized that she was the only leader they had.
The Generals has been killed in battle.
Once she had regained some of her meager strength she faced the army, knowing that they needed an answer, but knowing that she couldn't give one.
"What do we do now?" Asked one of the soldiers, looking up at her.
Nikita paused for second, thinking of anything that she could say, but she couldn't think of anything. She truly didn't know what they were going to do, and at this moment she didn't care.
"I don't know." Nikita said, looking at all of the soldiers gathered before her, her voice tired and strained.
"I don't know."
