Cassidy McClennan is Yeah-Yeah's older sister by three years. When Yeah-Yeah was four and Cass was seven, their parents got divorced. Yeah-Yeah stayed in the Valley with their mom and Cass moved to Pennsylvania with their dad.

In Pennsylvania, Cass joined a baseball team and made a lot of friends and had a really great time. That was, until her father started drinking.

It got so bad to the point where Cass would be scared to go home after school in the case that her father might be there, in a not-so-good mood.

After her father laid a hand on her, Cass decided she had had enough. She packed up all of her things and used her saved money to buy a one-way ticket to California.
