POV: Y/n

As we ran out of the Boar Hat, I could see a small man standing on a spear, floating in the sky above Ban, I was a bit confused, I didn't think men could fly.

Me: Meliodas, are you seeing this?

Meliodas: Yeah, Y/n, can I use your magic to hurry over there?

Me: Yeah!

I then placed my hand on Meliodas' shoulder and we used my power to rush to Ban. When we got there Meliodas hit Ban in the head with a mug of ale and I rush ahead to help defend Ban.

Meliodas: HEY!

Ban: Come on Cap'nnnnn, don't get in my way!

Meliodas: WHAT ARE YOU DOING, SKIPPING OUT ON YOUR WORK?

Me: Meliodas, I knew we would skip on us, I figured I would give him an opportunity to ditdh if he would take it.

Meliodas: I will duct your pay, Y/n.

Me: YOU AREN'T PAYING ME!

Ban: WHAT'M I DOING? THIS RANDOM MIDGET PICKED A FIGHT WITH MEEEEEE. My clothes are ruined now.

As this was occuring we didn't hear Diane as she walked behind us.

Diane: What's all the ruckus about? Huh? KING!!!

Ban stood there for a second, almost as if it took him a second to process what was said. Then his eyes grew larger as he realized what was said.

Ban: HOW THE HELL IS THAT KING!!?

Meliodas: No matter how you look at it, that's King.

Me: I'm with Ban on this, albeit I don't really remember what he looked like from when I was a child, has he lost a bit of  weight? He also looks younger than his wanted poster.

Ban: MORE THAN A BIT, BUT THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE HERE!

Diane: KING!! We've been looking for you, King!! I'm so happy to see you again!!

King simply turned his head and flew off.

Me: That, was, strange to say the least, come on, let's head back.

Ban: Oi, kids, come with us, we have food.

Kids: Okay.

When we arrived back at the Boar's Hat, Ban went into the kitchen and started cooking, a few minutes later, Ban walked out with a large batch of food for the children he brought with us.

Ban: Here ya goooo. Eat up!

Elizabeth: It smells so good!

Me: I'm surprised Ban is such a good cook, but smell doesn't ensure the taste.

Meliodas: Right? Y/n, just wait for a moment.

Ban: If you're not gonna eat, I'll feed it to the Piiig!

Kids: LET'S EAT!! SO GOOOOOOD!!

All the food talk made Hawk's mouth water, creating a large puddle that apparently was enough to drown a small child.

Hawk: Please save some scraps for me!

Boy: But, are you sure? We don't have any money!!

Ban: Give and Taaaaaake! Tell me where the Capital of the Dead, or whatever, is.

Meliodas: Hey, Ban, we found King already. We don't need to go there anymore right?

Ban: There's no way that was King.

Meliodas: He was real.

Ban: He was a fake.

Me: Would you two stop arguing, before it starts.

Boy: You guys want to go to the Capital of the Dead too?

Meliodas and Ban: "Too?"

Boy: That kid asked a few times too. He wants to go to the Capital of the Dead, no matter what.

Sins: KING IS ALSO TRYING TO GET TO THE CAPITAL OF THE DEAD?

Boy: That guy, for the past few days, he's been coming here to figure out how to get to the Capital of the Dead.

Hawk: If he's looking how to get there for days, does that mean it's a grave in a really remote place?

Boy: No, it's right around here.

Diane: What, what do you mean?

Boy: The entrance to the Capital of the Dead is in this village, but you can't go there just because you you want to.

Diane and Elizabeth looked at each other in question, Meliodas started messing with Hawk

Ban: I have noooo interest in riddles.

Me: I'll take a shot at it.

Meliodas: I see, in other words, it's like this!

Me & Elizabeth: I, don't think that's it.

Boy: The Capital of the Dead isn't a grave, it's a place where people who passed on live.

Meliodas: So basically, it's like the afterlife?

Elizabeth: How, how can we go to a plack like that?

Me: I'm sure there's more information.

Ban: Have you beeeeen there?

Boy: No way!! It's just all just superstition! But every now and then, travelers and rich people would come here because of that rumor. And that's how this village got started.

Elizabeth: But, if it's the afterlife, there's no way we can get there right?

Me: What's the rumor?

Boy: 'A priceless memory shared with the deceased will open the path to the Captial.'

Girl: Our next-door neighbor was always saying that, I'm sorry, that's all we know.

As I pondered the boy's statement, Ban rubbed the head of the little girl.

Ban: Thaaaaank you, Elaine. Your information is more than enough to cover your food. Hey, there's still some left.

Girl: Um, I'm, Ellen.

Ban: Oops, myyy bad Ellen

Me: EUROIKA!!

Everyone: Huh?

Me: I've figured out the riddle!

Ban: What is it?

Me: It's quite simple, if someone who wants into the Capital, they need to share good memories with a dead person.

Hawk: That seems easy, everyone has happy memories with someone they've lost.

Me: I've likely oversimplified the solution, I'm sure it needs to be an extremely good memory, like the riddle said, the memory may have to be priceless.

We then left to find our way into the Capital, when another key question arose.

Hawk: Hey, why does King want to go to a place like the Capital of the Dead?

Meliodas: Well, I'm sure we'll find something out when we go there.

Diane: But why would King run away?

Y/n: Nerves? It's a guess.

We then walked for a few moments, and found a ruined building outside of a field of budding flowers.

Hawk: So, who has priceless memories with someone in the afterlife?

Elizabeth: I, want to meet my mother who passed away when I was young, because I couldn't get to know her.

Me: My lady, I doubt that will work. If it would I would have done that with my mother.

Elizabeth: Oh, okay.

I then noticed the flowers blooming as we were around them.

Elizabeth: What's this flower?

Meliodas: Were these blooming a second ago?

Me: No, these are lilies, they are often associated with purity, especially of the soul.

Diane: the flower petals are?

All of a sudden, the flower petals started flowing around us. When the petals settled, we were in a realm made of green crystals.

Diane: Ca, captain,

Meliodas: Yeah.

Me: Wait, are we in the Capital of the Dead? There's a lot less, death, and a lot more green. Who had the memories to link our realms?

Hawk: Maybe it was my memories of the leftovers I was never able to eat.

Me: Hawk, food doesn't have memories.

Meliodas: I have no idea

Diane: Me neither!

Me: Ban, what about you?

Ban then dashed off, again. This seems to be a common occurrence.

Diane: BAN!!?

???: Stop!!

Just then the small kid from earlier dashed past us at blazing speed.

Diane: KING!!?

Elizabeth: That's Lord King? He, looks nothing like his wanted poster,

Me: That seems to be a common thread between the Seven.

Hawk: What does he mean 'stop'? He looks like he really wants to catch Ban, are those two fighting?

Meliodas: We'll chase after them for now.

Me: I don't think my Time Step will help too much, but I'll try.
