"When you first started this project, I wanted you to get your rings back with your own power and hands. But." Xinyi's heart dropped, that wasn't the word she wanted to here. Something bad always followed. She shifted nervously in between Chan and Minghao. "I never thought I would say this. I don't have your rings." Xinyi's heart shattered. Everyone glanced around at each other. "I don't have your rings." The CEO said again. Silence followed for a while. "Turn back."             

All of a sudden the curtain started rising up, and their families were revealed. Xinyi stared in shock. I think it was when everyone started walking forward it hit Xinyi. She immediately ran over to her family crying.

She tripped over herself and almost fell over but her younger brother caught her. "Junnie!" She cried bawling. Renjun smiled softly at his sister petting her hair. He pushed her away and held out a black box. Xinyi automatically knew what was inside it. Her ring. 

Renjun opened it as a fresh waved of tears cascaded down Xinyi's face. He grabbed her hand and slide the ring onto her finger. "You did it Xinyi. You're a star."

Xinyi furiously wiped away her tears. "Mom. Dad." She said engulfing then in a huge hug. They didn't really say much, just enjoyed each other's presence. After a while, the entirety of Seventeen stood in a line alongside their family. 

"The result of this showcase mission, '1000 audience' is..."

Renjun's hand interlocked with Xinyi's who looked at her brother with blurry eyes. He gave a reassuring nod as the two looked back to the front.

"You succeeded the mission."

Xinyi gave a sigh of relief and started clapping along with the rest of the members.

"With this, you succeeded today's showcase verification mission and Seventeen is set to have a solo live broadcast on May 26th. What I want to say is.. Seventeen has done a lot of missions but we have never said something like 'mission cleared' or 'verification succeeded'. That's because it doesn't matter whether you think you succeeded or failed the mission as the missions were made so that you could learn and realize that, we wanted to see how you all worked as a team. There will be a lot of things that you have to do in the future after you debut and become a star. You have completed all the missions since the first one until now. You have done very well on all the missions and we, the production team, would also like to thank you. I hope Seventeen will keep on getting better and better in the future. Now, hug your family."

Xinyi turned and hugged the living daylights out of Renjun before turning to her parents and hugging them.

"Also, did you all get your rings back?" Everyone said a chorused yes as they turned their hands and looked at their fingers. "We can't just finish it like this right? It's the last mission!" Xinyi barked out a laugh.

"Capture the parent's hearts?" Seungcheol blurted out.

"That's right." Confirmed the production team. "Shall you perform 'Shining Diamond' in front of the parents and family as you wear the rings?" 

Everyone clapped and before Renjun got off the stage Xinyi said, "Watch me."

The members of Seventeen gathered at the center of the stage. "Let's make this our best performance. 1, 2, 3 Fighting!"

Xinyi got into position as the familiar beat to all the members, started up.

It marked an end,

And a new beginning
