Brokenkit woke up finally and gasped for air. He looked around wildly as if someone was attacking him. Bluegaze hurried over and looked relieved. "Now," she told him. "Tell me everything that happened.  Brokenkit began the story...

"So that was what happened," Brokenkit mumbled. Bluegaze thought, How dare they! Brokenkit was their brother!  Bluegaze was still shocked at how Brokenkit's brutal sisters fight him like that. She stomped to nursery, where Aqualight and Reedsong were looking at Featherkit and Petalkit with pure affection. Bluegaze let Brokenkit--as usual--tag along with her as well. "Aqualight," she began, trying very hard to not let her temper get away with her. "This is terrible. You must tell Petalkit and Featherkit to stop bullying Brokenkit. They attacked him with unsheathed claws--unsheathed claws! You have to tell them to stop this." Brokenkit hung his head. "Yea that's right," Brokenkit mumbled, but his kin heard him. Aqualight growled, "How dare you?" Featherkit and Petalkit immediately started clawing each other when their parents aren't watching, making the 'wounds' that Brokenkit 'gave' them. "Mother," Featherkit mewed, showing her I'm-the-poor-victim eyes. "Brokenkit attacked us." Petalkit nodded, her eyes 'glazed' with 'pain'. Reedsong stood up and faced Brokenkit. "I thought that you would do something to please us." He growled. "But seems like you let yourself out of control." Brokenkit widened his frightened eyes. Featherkit and Petalkit shared that vicious smile again, making Brokenkit shiver. Reedsong meowed, "I'll teach you a lesson to that!" Without warning, Reedsong sent Brokenkit a strong blow. It seemed like he put all his hate on his blow. Brokenkit staggered, half his face covered in blood. Reedsong's claws were unsheathed, and created scars forming in Brokenkit's face. The kit shrieked with pain and fell down on the mossy ground, splattering the floor with drops of scarlet. Reedsong clawed him once again and again, until Brokenkit's pelt was all bloody. Petalkit and Featherkit jeered at him and joined in the fighting. Reedsong attacked him from above while his kits batted Brokenkit with their unsheathed claws from the lower parts. "Stop it!" Bluegaze screeched. "You're hurting him!" She thrust her way through the fighting and stopped Reedsong from attacking Brokenkit anymore. Once she had faced Reedsong, the yellow tom growled, "If you like him so much, then take him. He's not our family anymore." Then, he shouldered his way into nursery. Brokenkit was barely moving and breathing, but he heard his father's words. Tears rolled down his face and he once again, entered a wave of blackness.
