He could see blinding white headlights from his window, all the way down the street,
the jet black cruizer glistening from heaving rain that seemed to bounce off of its metal.

It stopped just short of the sidewalk, and its rider practically leaped off, making their way into his rundown building.

Not giving him much time to think, there was already a knock at his front door. To be quite honest, he wasn't sure if he should even answer.

"Who is it?"

Too late.

That routine craving, that was the one that spoke for him. That was the one that wanted to answer the door. Needed to.

"You already know who it is. Just let me in."

He cut his eyes at her from behind the wall. Keeping the chain on his door, the tall male suspiciously eyed his reflection in the motorcycle helmet. She scoffed, throwing up her hands and having them slap against the sides of her jeans. "You do this every time I come over."

"I have to be careful," Togquos unlocked the door, taking the reached out glove to lead her inside. "There's dangerous people all over."

"Dangerous people? Like who? Somebody after you?"

"Yeah, you."

Shadana's chuckle was muffled by the helmet. She slid it off, running a hand through her mohawk. The way she did it always reminded him of an actress in a movie. "I ain't dangerous. There's way worse people out here, yanno. I'm like, practically a saint~"

Togquos locked the door again, trying to rub away goosebumps on his arms from the lack of heat in the room. "In who's opinion?"

"Just my own humble one. You got any smokes?"

The look on his face told her it was a dumb question. "You're going to smoke here?"

"I'll sit near the window! Promise. Now can I get one, please?"

The wendigo sighed, pointing to the kitchen with a defeated look. She scurried off, with his voice trailing behind. "I shouldn't even be buying you that garbage. It's a nasty habit."

"Seems like everybody loves tellin' me about me and my 'nasty habits'." Togquos stood across from her, staring at the flickering flame and then Shadana's pursed lips sticking out into the cold night air.

"So.. when are you leaving?"

"..What's that suppose to mean?"

The wendigo shrugged, knowing exactly what he meant and not wanting to say the truth. "Nothing really. Just noticed that you don't really stay long."

"That's 'cause I got things to do all over the place, babe! I'm a busy lady, but I always try to make some time for you~"

"Hm."

"I do!"

"Mhm."

Shadana couldn't help the pout across her face as she looked at Togquos. In return, he only folded his arms with a faintly distasteful expression, which wasn't exactly a new look of his. "C'mon Togs, don't ya believe me?"

He scoffed with a relenting soft smile, "Yes yes, of course I believe you." Togquos reached over to kiss her open hand, then cocking an eye at the other. "You're damn near finished with that one already?"

She hadn't noticed, sharing his surprise as she spotted her cigarette almost burnt to the orange portion. "..Well damn. It really is a nasty habit, eh?"

"I would've never guessed."

Shadana rolled her eyes, "Y'know, you've got such a lovely attitude."
The demon flicked her cigarette out the open window before leaning to kiss Togquos.

His head jerked back, curling his lips in exaggerated disgust as he covered her mouth. "Yeaaah no way. Especially not like that, Tobacco Breath. Come back to me after you get a mint."

The demon groaned as she watched him point to a small complementary bowl of peppermints with a sickly sweet smile. Even she knew he had prepared it for her smoking. "It's just gonna mix, and then it'll be worse!"

"Your spare toothbrush is here. Maybe you should brush for once. And then take three mints for good measure."

"Ahh, screw you!"
