Shakhi OS A Perfect Sunday Morning

Shaurya Sabharwal heaved a tired sigh as he rubbed his sleepy eyes. It was supposed to be a lazy Sunday morning spent in bed catching up on some extra beauty sleep without any stress. Instead, he's spending the morning cleaning their apartment on his wife's order.

Groaning to himself, Shaurya pulled the window curtain, rolled it and put it inside the bucket next to him before dusting the window. He pressed the wet piece of cloth against the window once he's done dusting the window.

"Cleaning day was supposed to be yesterday" Shaurya voiced out annoyed.

"Which we didn't thanks to Amit bhaiya's party" Anokhi said placing a bucket of fresh water and added, "So, don't whine like a child and get this done, Shaurya"

"Anokhi, come on yaar. It is 7:50 am on a Sunday morning. It is illegal to be up this early on Sunday!" Shaurya complained like a child making Anokhi giggle.

"Don't be such a child, Shaurya. You have to do laundry next" Anokhi said and laughed out on seeing Shaurya's reaction.

"Bahat hassi aa rahi hai kya tum he?" Shaurya huffed and wiped his hand on the towel rested on his shoulder before adding, "Abhi dekho ki kya kartha hoon"

Shaurya was about to run and pounce on Anokhi but end up stumbling on the bucket with dirty water making the water spill on the floor. Both gasped as they jumped from their spot to save themselves from the dirty water.

On seeing Anokhi glaring at him, Shaurya put on a sheepish smile as he scratched his hair looking apologetically at his wife. When Anokhi increased the intensity of the glare showing her disappointment, Shaurya hold his ear making a sorry face.

"Hareey, sorry na yaar. Galti se ho gaya. Yese ghuro math, Anokhi" Shaurya said giving his charming smile that doesn't seem to affect Anokhi.

"Accha?" Anokhi angled her head sideways as she raised an eyebrow before pursing her arms together and tapped her right feet before she added, "I'm off to fix our closet. Before I'm back, I need you to clean this mess you have created"

"Anokhi pleasseee" Shaurya put on a sad face while Anokhi shook her head sideways refusing to give in.

'Yeh pakka ek strict professor hi banegi aur yeh mujhe akdu, sadu professor keh rahi thi, huh. Poor future SIAC wale students' Shaurya thought shaking his head.

Heaving a defeated sigh, Shaurya nodded at Anokhi with a sad pout. As Anokhi walked away laughing at her husband's antics, Shaurya made a funny face at her before grabbing the mob placed next to the bucket and mopped the floor muttering about how he wanted to sleep little longer with his wife in his arms on a Sunday morning and not holding the stick and mop the floor.

Anokhi chucked on seeing her husband mopping the floor before walking inside their room. Having Shaurya Sabharwal in her life means no shortage of drama, fun and banter. Sometimes the guy is super matured and sometimes, he would be the biggest needy grown-up kid. Not that Anokhi minds handling this grown-up kid.

Life is going smoothly for the young couple. They have their struggles but they have learned how to manage their marriage life. The more they stayed together the more they more they realized that they couldn't stay apart.

Anokhi placed the pressed clothes inside the closet. She then tidied the messed-up clothes in their home wear section before closing the closet. She heaved a sigh as she made up their bed and walked out of their room.

A smile tugged at the corner of Anokhi's lips as she saw the floor clean. True to his word, Shaurya did a good work with the floor. She heard Shaurya's whistle from the laundry room making her shook her head with a smile.

Anokhi looked at the living room. They have managed to complete most of the works, thanks to her for getting them up super early. Her eyes fell on Shaurya's locked study room which hasn't opened for a long time as Shaurya preferred to work on couch in the living room or on their bed while she studies at the study table in their room.

Anokhi gathered her hair in a bun as she walked towards the study room. She grabbed a pen lying on the coffee table on the way and used it as a clip to set her hair in a bun.

Right after she opened the room, Anokhi was welcomed with the sight of boxes placed in front of the study table. Those boxes are Shaurya's stuffs from Sabharwal House which Shaan sent with workers weeks after they moved out. None of them was unboxed till date.

Heaving a tired sigh, Anokhi grabbed a box and placed it down before grabbing two more and placed it aside, paving way for her to reach the study table. She puckered her lips in distaste as her fingers traced the dust on the study table.

Anokhi went out to bring cleaning items and cleaned the study table first. She then sorted the boxes into one corner of the room so that she can clean the floor. As she was sorting the boxes, her eyes fell on a guitar bag. Surprised, she dusted the guitar bag before opening it.

Anokhi's eyes twinkled on seeing the guitar. Excited, she took out the guitar and admired it. It was a stunning black guitar with Shaurya written in white colour font at the corner of guitar's body. Her fingers caressed Shaurya's name before she pulled a string and giggled like an excited child.

On the other hand, Shaurya filled the washing machine with clothes as he whistled to himself. Although he throws tantrums to do these works, he actually liked doing these stuffs. Back at Sabharwal House no one lets him to do any work. It was either servants or his family who tended to his needs.

Although Shaurya likes doing little chores, his Badi Maa wouldn't even let him do the simple of domestic chores. His Bade Papa would scold the servants and women folk of the house if he noticed Shaurya doing any domestic work and so, he stopped doing it for other's sake.

Shaurya chucked as he imagined what Alok Chachu's reaction would be on seeing him cleaning windows and laundry. He laughed out when he imagined his Chachu catching him doing dishes. God, he missed his banters with his Chachu.

With a smile still gracing his lips, Shaurya removed his T-shirt and dumped it inside the washing machine. He added the washing powder in its slot, checked the settings before setting it for wash.

The shirtless hunk washed his face in the wash basin in the laundry room, dried his face with a towel and walked into the living room. He groaned when he sat on the couch and leaned back letting his tired body to rest.

"Shaurya I foun...wait, why are you shirtless and what are you doing on the couch?" Anokhi enquired as she placed the guitar bag near the wall and stood in front of Shaurya.

"Waiting for my wife to pounce on me?" Shaurya said putting on a teasing smile making Anokhi throw the cushion from the nearby couch at Shaurya who caught it mid-air and chucked at his wife.

"Aap na kuch bhi bol lete ho" Anokhi said fighting off the blush that crept on her face while Shaurya winked at her making her heart flutter.

"Oh my god, my wifey is getting blushy blushy" Shaurya said in a teasing tone as he pushed himself off the couch and wrapped his arms around Anokhi, pulling her closer to him before he added, "I love this hue on you, Anokhi. Damn! I don't mind eating those red cheek of yours and your juicy li-"

"Shaurryya kuch toh sharam kijiyeh!" Anokhi said as she gasped at Shaurya's words.

"Biwi ki aage sharam kaise? Kulke besharam ban ne dho mujhe" Shaurya said in a deep voice as he leaned forward to kiss Anokhi who turned her face making him kiss on her cheek.

"Anokhi, kya yaarr" Shaurya grumbled giving a disappointed look.

"Agar aap aese romance mood mein rahenge toh balcony mein plants ko koun water karega" Anokhi said pushing Shaurya away before she steps back from him trying to calm her racing heart.

Sure, Anokhi has grown used to Shaurya's hugs and kisses but moments like these makes her heartbeat race. His shirtless form didn't help her case.

"Anokhi, tum he na romantic moments bigaad ne ka award milna chahiyeh" Shaurya said turning his face making Anokhi smile at her husband's antics.

"Achha?" Anokhi asked as she stepped forward and hugged Shaurya from behind before tracing his abs with her fingers while Shaurya hummed a yes.

"Are you sure about that?" Anokhi asked and played a kiss on Shaurya's shoulder blade while her fingers traced pattern on his abdomen.

A smile spread over Shaurya's lips as he held Anokhi's hand as he turned around. Anokhi ignored the way her heart fluttered and tried not to blush as she pulled her hands out of Shaurya's grip, stepped on her toes and garlanded her arms around Shaurya's neck who wrapped his arms around his wife, securing her in his embrace. Anokhi leaned up and placed a kiss against Shaurya's cheek making him smile down at her.

"You know I'm going to sleep shirtless starting tonight" Shaurya said in a deep teasing tone which earned him a smack on the arms from Anokhi who moved out of his embrace.

"Besharam Sabharwal" Anokhi remarked shaking her head with a smile while Shaurya grinned.

"Why, thank you mam" Shaurya replied with a wink as the duo broke into laughter.

"Look at what I found" Anokhi said once the laughter died down and brought the guitar bag in front of Shaurya putting a smile on his lips.

"My guitar?" Shaurya said looking at Anokhi with a smile and added, "I thought it was still at Sabharwal House"

"Well, I was cleaning your study room and found it among the boxes. You know how to play it?" Anokhi asked excitedly handing the guitar bag to Shaurya.

"No, Anokhi. I only keep it to do puja" Shaurya said in a sarcastic tone and added, "Of course, I know how to play. I used to play at a club during my college days"

Shaurya's face had a wide smile as he took out his guitar. He traced his finger on the body of guitar before holding it and pulled its strings slightly. Anokhi's face had a fond smile as she stared at her husband's excitement.

"Accha? Why don't you play something for me? A song?" Anokhi asked as the duo sat down on the coach.

"Well, it has been months since I have played. So, I'll play a song for you later but you have to sing along with me" Shaurya said as he tuned the strings.

"Okay, deal but play some tunes for now. I have always wanted one ever since my music teacher brought one to school in eighth grade. I was fascinated by the way my teacher played and wanted to learn how to since then" Anokhi said excitedly.

"Is that so? Here, hold it. It's ours" Shaurya said handing the guitar to Anokhi making her smile.

"Thank you but play something first, come on" Anokhi said pushing the guitar back into Shaurya's hands.

Shaurya agreed and played few tunes. Anokhi was impressed with the way he plays and asked him to play few more to which he obliged.

"Well, let's do it this way. I'll teach you how to play. Is that okay?" Shaurya asked on seeing Anokhi's excitement.

"Really? You'll teach me?" Anokhi asked with excitement twinkling in her eyes.

"Of course, come" Shaurya said and placed the guitar on his right and added, "Come"

"Kaha pe?" Anokhi asked with a puzzled smile.

"Here" Shaurya said eyeing at his lap.

"Seriously?" Anokhi asked laughing out.

"Yes. I want to guide you with hand works" Shaurya said putting on an innocent look biting back his smile.

Anokhi held Shaurya in a questioning gaze before shaking her head mumbling a 'Okay'. Shaurya grinned when Anokhi sat on his lap and wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer and placing a kiss on her nape.

"You said you'll teach me how to play guitar, Shaurya" Anokhi said sternly as she smacked Shaurya's arm making him laugh against her ear.

"Okay, fine Mrs. Sabharwal. Let's start with...wait, what's a pen doing in your hair?" Shaurya said removing the pen from Anokhi's hair making her locks cascading down her back.

"You just messed my bun!" Anokhi said trying to gather her hair together but Shaurya stopped her from doing so.

"Let it be, Anokhi. I like your hair this way" Shaurya said nuzzling into Anokhi's hair and picked up the guitar in his hand before Anokhi could say anything.

Anokhi's face lit with excitement on seeing the guitar. She made herself comfortable on Shaurya's lap and held the guitar in her hand as Shaurya directed her to. Shaurya placed his hand above Anokhi's and guided her how to hold the guitar followed by the basics.

Fifteen minutes into the session, Anokhi and Shaurya brushed their fingers against the guitar strings together as they laughed. Anokhi leaned herself against Shaurya and placed a quick kiss on his cheek before continuing with the lesson making Shaurya grin. He in return planted small kisses on her nape and neck making Anokhi giggle.

"So, what do you think?" Anokhi asked as she brushed her fingers against the strings and facing Shaurya.

"I think your t-shirt is disturbing us a lot. Care to remove it?" Shaurya said tugging a little at Anokhi's t-shirt which earned him a smack in his arm making him laugh.

"Shauryyaa! Subah subah suru ho gaya na aap ka!" Anokhi said trying to get up from his lap but Shaurya held her back.

"Accha, teek hai baba. We'll do it at night" Shaurya said in a suggestive tone with a grin making Anokhi go red.

"Shaurya!" Anokhi said, her face flushed while a shy smile played on her lips.

"God, stop blushing like that Anokhi. You are doing things to me" Shaurya said with a teasing smile on seeing Anokhi's flushed face.

Anokhi hid her flushed face in the crook of Shaurya's neck and hugged him making Shaurya chuckle before he placed the guitar down and wrap his arms around his wife protectively and placed his head on the top of hers as they stayed in each other's embrace. For Shaurya Sabharwal, nothing could be more perfect than this for a Sunday morning.

Hey guys, hope you all are doing good. SAAKK ends today! To be honest, I don't know what to feel... I'm gonna miss waking up at 6 to watch new episodes, their off screen banters, watching Shakhi, DeVir... I started watching the show from February and these 6 months were very beautiful! SAAKK is the reason I'm writing consistently after years. SAAKK helped me a great deal to cope with depression during lockdown.

SAAKK will forever remain my favorite show and I'm going to miss Shakhi and DeVir the most. I'll continue to write Shakhi OS. By this way, I hope I can stay connected to Shakhi and Shakhians.

Thank you.

Nan ~
