The cats of the Ethereal Valley posses a unique ability, the ability to change into their namesake. The ability was first discovered by the legendary Fawnstar on one of her kits. Mulletkit had a tendency to turn uncontrollably into a... fish, of all things. When this happened Mulletkit had to be rushed to a water source, or otherwise he would die. This power baffled Fawnstar until she discovered that her mate, Wrenclaw also had this strange ability. Mulletkit learned to control this ability with the help of his father, and survived to warriorhood after which he died ironically by drowning.

Many generations on all cats in FoxClan and RabbitClan, now posses this ability.

FoxClan: This clan has a tendency to name their kits after carnivores, if a kit is named Foxkit, they are held in high regard and expected to be great. FoxClan has had 5 Foxstars.

RabbitClan: This clan has the tendency to name their kits after herbivores, if a kit is named Rabbitkit it is the same story as with a Foxkit. RabbitClan has had two Rabbitstars in its history.

FoxClan and RabbitClan are natural enemies and cross-clan relationships are dangerous, as the leaders have the free will to kill the perpetrators. The Clans are very strict followers of the code. They almost never let loners, rogues or kittypets into their clans.
