Carrying blistered legs
parched throat, hunger, popped belly
With dilated diaphragm.

Carrying happiness
step towards heavenly home
Pushed her towards hell.

Suffocating pleas
Were ignored during their fight
She died with her child.

Sun dried her poor soul
Her death was manipulated
For their benefit.

Poet's corner

A saddening truth of this society. I read one news article telling how many of the preganant migrants died while travelling back to their home.

This is a four stanza haiku where 'their ' signifies our politicians who don't feel even an ounce of shame while fighting over someone's death. 😞😞
