Sophie and Keefe continued to the back corner of the auditorium and started to plot their prank on Biana. Keefe said that they should put pills that would make Biana super gassy in her food. Sophie said that they could vandalize her house to get back at both Biana and Fitz because Sophie had lots of experience with that. They eventually decided to go through with both of their plans to lower their ego to the level it should be at.

They planned to meet up tomorrow after school to vandalize the Vacker home. They would TP, egg, and spray paint their house. Sophie was so excited to give the Vacker Manor a new makeover. Biana did love makeovers, so she would definitely love what they were planning.

Keefe had also said that he could slip the pills in Biana's lunch today. She would be gassy for the rest of the school day.

Today and tomorrow would be Vacker—

Dr.Alina's booming voice cut off Sophie's scheming. "Students, please take a seat so that I can announce some things."

All of the remaining students that were standing, including Sophie and Keefe, took a seat. Dr.Alina continued, "Thank you. Mid-terms are coming-up soon, so I will be assigning study groups for all the students at Foxfire. You will have to study for an hour with them each week in whichever subject you want to study. In a month, which will be 2 weeks before mid-terms, I will be making your group study together everyday for at least an hour." There was a collection of groans from the students. "Don't complain—I'm doing this for your own good. I would like for half of the school to get at least an 80 on all of your mid-terms." Another set of groans echoed through the auditorium.

Keefe whispered, "I just started at this school and mid-terms are coming-up. That's just my luck."

Sophie felt super bad for him. Foxfire mid-terms were some of the hardest tests made. It was like the teachers wanted their students to fail. Sophie had managed to get perfect scores on all of her mid-terms in middle school because of her phototgraphic memory, but Foxfire mid-terms were going to be way harder. Sophie was worried that she might even fail some of them.

So, Sophie replied, "Yeah, and Foxfire mid-terms are known to be the hardest high school tests made. You'll only be able to pass if you study every hour of every day for a month."

"Way to lift my spirits Foster. Luckily I have a photographic memory, so I might be able to get away with studying every hour of every day the week before mid-terms." Keefe stated.

"Wait—really? You have a photographic memory? Huh. Cool." Sophie answered, bewildered. It was weird to meet someone else with her gift.

Keefe had smug smirk on his face. "Yup! Why are you so surprised? Did you really think I don't look smart?"

"Well, you look smart, but you were ditching some of your classes, so I figured you didn't care about school." Sophie replied. She was ashamed that she had stereotyped him as an airhead just because he occasionally ditched.

Keefe's face fell a little. "Well, I don't really care too much about school, so you were right about that Foster. But I'm not an airhead. I just ditch because I don't really need to go to class. I can just glance at the textbook once and then I'm ready for a test."

Sophie had never thought of using her photographic memory like that, so she replied, "Huh, I've never thought of it that way." After she said that, though, she realized that she had never told Keefe about her photographic memory. "I mean, I have a photographic memory, too." She blushed in embarrassment.

"Cool. I've never met anyone else with a photographic memory—And you've never used your memory to get out of class? Wow, I have a lot to teach you Foster. Hopefully we're in the same study group so that I can show you my amazing tricks!"

Sophie was touched that Keefe would want to be in the same study group as her. She was definitely going to keep trying to be his friend. Maybe she wasn't so alone at Foxfire.

"Yeah, hopefully!" Sophie actually meant what she said. She was done pushing people away. "And it would definitely help to learn how to properly use my memory. Maybe I have a chance of passing mid-terms!"

Keefe looked astonished. "You seriously think you won't pass mid-terms? Have you seen your GPA? I know you'll do fine Foster. You probably won't even need my help."

"You're not trying to back-out of helping me, are you?" Sophia asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No, I would never back-out of helping my only friend." Keefe stated with an honest certainty that made Sophie blush the slightest bit.

And of course Sophie stupidly squeaked out, "Friend?"

Keefe rolled his eyes. "I mean—I thought we were friends."

Sophie blushed madly at her stupidity. "Yeah—sorry. Of course we're friends. I'm just not used to people wanting to be my friend." Sophie covered her mouth and looked down. She had accidentally shared a little too much.

Instead of standing there awkwardly like Sophie thought he would do, Keefe said, "Well, I'm sure we can change that! Don't worry—I'll get you some more friends. Actually, I have some people I want you to meet. I don't know when you will be able to meet them, but I'll find a time."

Sophie was dumbfounded. She was actually going to have friends. She wouldn't be able to share her secret with them, but they would still be friends!

Before Sophie replied to Keefe, she realized that Dr.Alina had been saying something throughout their whole conversation. She was just going to have to ask Marella what Dr.Alina had said. Marella probably hadn't been listening, but she could at least try.

Sophie only caught the end of what Dr.Alina was saying. "There will be Cross Country practice today. They will meet at the track. Thank you so much for your attention, students. You may go to your first period class."

Ok, so, I have some bad news....

I will have to go on a writing hiatus until next Friday. I may occasionally post a chapter, but don't expect any at my normal days. I will still be responding to comments and posting in my message board, though.

I have to go on a hiatus because I have 2 major Cross Country meets in the next two weeks and I need my sleep.
