Jungkook gulped as he couldn't help but check you out from the back as you took off your shoes and put on the slippers. Your legs looked great in those heels and your ass...he sucked in his bottom lip. He needed to stop looking.

His mind was in the wrong place right now. He had to remind himself that the point of the night was to have a nice time with you, not to force it to be ultimately all about getting in bed with you. It was hard though, with him having been so focused on it since you came back from Jeju.

You finally turned to him and he smiled awkwardly. "I'm excited about cooking together" you said beaming and he relaxed a bit and his smile morphed into a more natural one.

"What are we making?" he asked curiously. You'd sent the list, but not the recipe itself, you'd wanted to surprise him. Kook was pretty open when it came to food, so you weren't really concerned about him not being willing to try any sort of dish.

"Nureun guksu" you announced and he tilted his head.

"Sounds good, I've never tried it"

"It's a classic from Daegu, we are the noddle and carb junkies of South Korea" you answered with a chuckle and he laughed softly. Your satoori* came out for the first time and he swore he would die right there and then at the way his heart stopped. Keep your cool, Jungkook, he encouraged himself.

"There weren't any noodles in the list" he said worriedly.

"We are making halmeoni's knife-cut noodles!" you announced and he looked at you in wonder. That sounded like fun, he was excited about getting started.

You headed to the kitchen and he handed you an apron and got one for himself. "Shall I be your assistant?" he said with a toothy grin and you chuckled at the cuteness.

"Sure, Mr. Jeon. Hand me the flours, salt, oil and a cup of water so we can make the kalguksu** first" you said and he blushed at the way you referred to him and immediately got to work.

He grabbed everything from the table for you and then got the water and stood by your side looking attentively, his eyes wide with curiosity. "Do you need the scale?" he asked already turning to look for it.

"No, that's okay" you said with a smirk, "I can measure it all with the cups and spoons, I have a good idea of it. Sookie halmeoni didn't use scales, that's why my nureun guksu will never be like hers" you whined with a cute little pout and he couldn't help but tease you.

"Adorable" he said planting a quick kiss on your cheek. "I'm sure yours is its own kind of delicious" Jungkook added beaming at you, his nose scrunch making you melt.

"Right back at you" you returned his compliment as he looked very cute himself. His face flushed and he chuckled nervously, returning his eyes to the ingredients.

He observed you as you formed the dough on the counter and kneaded it until it was nice and smooth. You asked him for cling film and wrapped it neatly to then let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.

In the meantime, you'd start the broth. Jungkook chopped green onions, garlic and dried anchovies for you so you could start the base and let it simmer. He then moved on and sliced the pumpkin, carrots and onions, then diced the potatoes.

Once everything was in the pot, you added some soy sauce and stirred while Kook got the rested dough and cleaned the counter so you could knead it a bit more and roll it out into a thin sheet. You started folding it into layers and rolling it out over and over. He was extremely interested.

After cutting the strips, you floured them generously and went back to your broth. Jungkook diligently unfolded the noodles and separated them for you. You put them all in the broth and let them cook.

"I might hire you to work in my kitchen, Jungkook-ssi. You did a great job!" you said playfully and he stared at you with his doe eyes for a second before forcing a soft laugh. He turned around immediately and went looking for the plates to serve.

Why couldn't he relax fully? Why did you call him that? You hadn't since the fansign and he remembered clearly how flustered it had made him while he was working out.

You carefully served your plates and took them to the dining room as he grabbed the wine he had set aside and a jug of water from the fridge. He placed them to a side and lit the candle in the center of the table. Then turned down the intensity of the lights with a remote.

"Oh, romantic" you said with an amused smile. It simultaneously made you feel nervous and your heart melt. Your confidence while teasing didn't let him notice though.

"I picked some Argentinian wine for tonight" he said pouring a little on your glass after swirling the decanter. "I read they have good wines over there" Kook added sharing his research.

"I've never tried any" you said bringing the glass to your face and taking in the scent. "Mm, smells great" you purred immersed in your senses and he felt his heart clench. Sipping on it, you nodded approvingly and put your glass down for him to fill it up all the way.

Jungkook put the bottle down after pouring wine in his glass and eagerly tried the homemade nureun guksu. You looked up at him to see him looking extremely serious and even angry at it. You covered your mouth and laughed at him. He looked up confused.

"What?" Kook asked defensively, but with a pout and big eyes.

"It's just that you look pissed off when you're eating something you like. I'm glad you do though" you shared and he blushed.

"I do?" he looked at you with parted lips and a confused expression on his face. "Well, it's not fair it's this good" he joked with a side-smile.

"I was telling Jin the other day how your halmeoni's dish was the best" he shared proudly with a soft chuckle and you looked at him warily.

"Does Jin like me?" you hesitated for a second before asking, but you couldn't bear the thought of one of the members not liking you.

"Why do you say that?" Kook asked with concerned furrowed eyebrows, "why wouldn't he?"

"He was very quiet when I stayed over for dinner that time and he didn't seem happy about anything I shared" you muttered shyly. His heart broke, why had you kept these doubts to yourself? You needn't worry, specially after he talked to his hyung.

"He does, he was just surprised, I suppose. Just looking after me" he said feeling like it was unnecessary to tell you about the details. It was all sorted now and it had been a clear misunderstanding from Jin's part.

Once you were done and after some lighthearted talking, he got up from the table. You looked at him as he walked to the other end and grabbed a carefully wrapped present with a shimmery bow.

"I got you something" he said handing it to you but shyly looking down with red cheeks and bashful smile.

"For me? Why?" you asked with a confused smile and took it from his hands.

"No reason" he said and added, "I wanted to get you something" he smiled sweetly and you leaned over the table and pressed your index to your lips. Was everything you were doing sensual or was he having issues right now? He was frustrated with himself.

He obliged and pecked you, then watched you open his gift nervously. Hopefully no one had done this for you before? How many boyfriends had you had? Jungkook hadn't thought about that and suddenly worried about how he would do compared to them. His eyes were wide and unblinking as he stared into space.

"Binary stars?" you said with a lovely smile on your face.

"Yes, they are..." he started, but you cut him off like the nerd you were.

"Two stars that orbit each other or, alternatively, a common center" you completed his sentence and carefully read the framed certificate you'd taken out of a wooden box. "You named them after us?" you asked shocked and he looked away scratching his neck.

"That's so sweet, I love it so much!" you said and got up from the table to walk around it and side-hug him tightly. He tensed not having expected the contact. You grabbed his cheeks and kissed him hard, pulling apart just to keep smiling.

"Thank you, this is the most meaningful gift anyone's ever given me" you said delighted and he smiled widely. Jungkook knew you could name a star, but he hadn't heard about twin stars so it suddenly had become a lot more romantic than he had initially intended.

"Should we have dessert?" he said pulling back feeling anxious with the contact. You unwrapped your arms from around him.

"Dessert?" you asked and he nodded with a wicked smile.

"I made some for us" he told you as he got up and headed to the kitchen.

"Let me be your assistant then" you said walking after him and he swallowed.

He took out the container with fruits and brought the chocolate bowl he'd left on the table to a side and separated the types of chocolate into smaller bowls. Putting them on the stove over simmering water, he stirred them carefully to keep them from burning.

"I love the smell of chocolate" you said leaning over to take in the scent and he backed away a little too hastily. You noticed and smiled at him, you could tell he was nervous.

Were you flirting? Was he imagining things, being heavily influenced by his thoughts? Was it the usual tension between you two?

You had set all the fruit neatly onto a plate. There were figs, strawberries, pomegranate, banana slices, apple cubes, watermelon and cherries. Such a strange and wide selection, you thought. That Jungkook had carefully picked after some research, of course.

Picking up the little tray with the chocolate bowls you turned to Kook. "Do you eat at the coffee table?" you asked tentatively and he just nodded, "how about we eat there? It'll be more comfortable." He swallowed for the umpteenth time in the evening and followed you carrying the fruit plate and fondue forks.

Once you placed the tray down you went back to the dining room and came back to the living room with the little candle he had lit up. "To keep up with the romantic mood" you said in a low and sensuous voice smirking at him with an alluring stare. He didn't know what was real and what was part of his imagination anymore.

You turned on the lamp to a side and he grabbed another remote to turn off the light. With an uncomfortable lip smile he looked in your eyes as you took a seat next to him on the couch. You casually popped a cherry you had previously dipped in one of the chocolates in your mouth and discarded the stem. You looked over at a very shaken Jungkook.

"Aren't you eating anything?"

Don't, Jungkook told himself internally.

He couldn't even answer in his head, his face burning shamefully at the hint of a thought that crossed his mind at your utterly plain words.

* This is the dialect of the Gyeongsang region of South Korea. There's the north region's (e.g.: Daegu) and south region's dialects (e.g.: Busan), they are both different.

** Means knife-cut noodles.

Anyone got the reference of the title? Hehe. I heard my titles are misleading, not if you know where they come from 😏
