-Spooker's PoV-

I checked the map again, "so what do you think was urgent enough for Toast to tell us to come over here?" It had been about two days since the random text appeared on both of our phones, explaining to us that something had gone wrong and the two needed assistance. Not much else, unfortunately. It ended up sending the two of us blindly into whatever this situation is, and though normally I would've requested more information, Toast's texts sounded urgent enough for us to come without question.

"I dunno... Maybe it's a really big ghost and they need our help!" Colon said, grinning to himself, "we could jump in and save the day! Maybe we can break through a wall after finding them, spout some amazing one-liner, roast the ghost before killing it dead."

"Yeah! Then we'd save Ghost and Toast- but let's be honest, we'd probably be the ones who they'd be saving..." I sighed a bit, before staring at the ground. Colon patted my back.

"Not true. We're just as valuable parts of the team as they are!" He looked around, "though it sure doesn't come off that way when they don't even show up at the airport." He glances around a bit more, "yeah, they're not showing..." He suddenly smiles again, "hey, dude, want to do some touristy stuff?"

"Like what?" I ask.

"I dunno, maybe check the place out? I mean they have castles here. I think Hogwarts was filmed at one of the castles-"

"Wait, really?!" my eyes light up, "oh my gosh, which castle? We're going there first, right?" a grin spreads on my face when Colon nods, "yessss. What'da think kitty?" I suddenly ask, pulling the bean-filled cat from my backpack. Colon stared at it a bit as it appeared to gasp for breath. I knew that Colon didn't like the cat, but they both seemed to share a mutual dislike for weird smells, which was mostly the reason the cat wanted out of the pizza place I found him at, and unfortunately for both of them, my backpack was a collage of weird and terrible smells. The cat stared at me, unamused.

"What the heck, why'd you leave me in the bag for the whole flight!?" They asked me, angrily.

"I was busy," I admitted.

"Doing... What, exactly?" The cat asked.

"Throwing up out of fear," I said.

"Yeah, he does that sometimes." Colon says. The conversation may sound one-sided to him, but it's nice he likes to jump in sometimes to show he's trying to keep up with whats going on at least. Ghost just leaves or ignores us, which tends for us to get lost on missions when we try to look for him.

The cat scowled. "What?" I asked, "Why do you think the bag smells so bad-" They looked disgusted. "Nevermind, anyways. We were thinking about going to the castle Harry Potter was filmed at."

"Why?"

"It'd be awesooommme!" I grinned.

"Yeah, but aren't you here looking for your bosses?" If he had eyebrows, he probably would've risen one. He doesn't like Ghost or Toast much, but he kinda... Respects my desisions to an extent.

I frowned, "well we don't know where they are-"

"Try where they live." The cat said, sternly. "You can go looking at castles later." I frowned, "... What? Just do it later, the castle's not going anywhere!"

"Awwwww..." I groaned.

"Did they seriously say no?" Colon asked, eyes wide. "Hey, demon bean cat, why not?!"

The cat glanced at him, "... I really hate him still. Why don't we kill him? Like right now."

"I can't do that! He's my friend, and we're in public! I don't want to, and if I get arrested, I'm going to have an extremely hard time getting out." I whispered, not wanting Colon to hear. the cat didn't like anyone who I liked... Other than my dad, and that concerns me to an extent...

"Fred." The cat said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"You're a GHOST. Remember?"

"COLON I JUST REMEMBERED I'M A GHOST!" I shouted. The cat facepalmed as we got some weird looks from passersby, but no one came over to check to see if I were medically stable. I swore I heard someone say 'found them', but when I looked, no one was there.

"... You heard that right?"

"I... Think...?" I squinted, looking around. I didn't see anyone, but I still felt that I was being watched. "I don't feel very safe here anymore..."

"Me neither. Let's get out of here. " He grabbed my hand and we scooted our way out as fast as we could.

"So... No castles, right?" Colon checked after about five minutes of walking in a random direction as we looked for a place to stop.

"No, unfortunately not..." I groaned before checking my phone, "where did Ghost and Toast say they lived again? I'm going to use the GPS to try and find it."

"Uhhhh..." Colon paused to think, "I think it was something along the lines of... 221B Baker's Avenue... Bakers... Baker's street. It was 221B Baker's street!!" He was grinning, "That's it!"

"Thank you!" I put it into my phone and saw we had walked in the opposite direction. "Uh... Well then." I cleared my throat, unsure how to tell him this, "We... We need a taxi." I said, quickly. He could find out we traveled the opposite direction when we were in the taxi, I didn't really want to tell him. He's an Uber Driver on his spare time, as he actually lives in a pretty big house, and we're not paid much, (Yet) so something he's come to dislike is being misled or going in the wrong direction since he doesn't like getting heckled for it, and it could also cost him the couple of dollars necessary for him to be able to afford real food for that night. He's extremely insufferable inside of mazes, and since Toast has a real talent in solving them, Colon usually stays as close to him as possible the moment he feels lost.

I started trying to wave down a taxi when a cop car came into view. It seemed to be heading toward us. I froze. Knowing our... Reputation with the cops in the US, who's to say Toast hasn't got caught selling macaroni? I quickly stopped and showed the car to Colon as unobviously as possible. He inhaled through his teeth before grabbing my arm, "we need to hide."

I attempted to make it look like he was showing me something as to not to look too apparent before asking him quietly, "like what?"

"I... I don't know. Let's find an alley or something." He suggested. I nodded and we started walking down the street, the opposite direction of the cop car. it tailed us the whole way to an alley, and instantly sped up when we turned away from the road. We made a break across it, running like our very lives depended on it. When we reached the other side of the row of apartments, we turned into another ally, and then a third. We looked around at where we ended up. It looked almost the exact same as the street we started at, but there were no cop cars this time. Colon leaned back his head and sighed in relief when he paused and was suddenly jumped by someone who just fell. I didn't know where from, there was no one on the roof before. I screamed and held kitty in front of me like a weapon since we left all our guns at home.

He was a medium-sized person, with pale blue eyes and black hair covering his head. He had black feathers all over his uniform, which took me a moment to realize what cops wore. "Get off him!" I said, my voice cracking. The street was empty. Great, it's like this was planned. The cop car turned onto the street and drove up to where we were. The window rolled down, and a woman with blue hair stared at us.

"How'd you know that would work?" she asked someone else in the car.

"It was obvious." Came a reply from someone else in the car.

I quickly flew into a panic. I ran at the man and whacked him across the face with Kitty, who made a noise of shock. The man fell off in shock and I grabbed colon by the arm and started to pull him away before he could get to his feet.

I heard a door open and close behind us, "Guys, stop." I heard someone with a familiar voice. We spun around and Colon near fell on his face from lack of balance. In front of us stood Toast, and he did NOT look good. His hair was messy, his clothes were extremely wrinkled, and his eyes looked... Dead to say the least.

"OH MY GOSH, THEY GOT GHOST AND TOAST! RUN SPOOKS!" Colon regained himself quickly as Toast facepalmed.

He marched after us and grabbed us both by the arm, "look, guys, something happened to Ghost and these people are helping me find him. My sister's the one driving the car and you whacked Maloney in the face with your cat. A detective, his name is Sherlock, is in the car, and he thinks you can help us find him."

"You are incorrect about one of those points." The masculine voice replied from the cop car, "I'm looking for John."

Toast rolled his eyes, which sparked a small gasp from me. Yeah, yeah, call me weird, but Toast was ALWAYS polite, we wouldn't roll his eyes at someone for doing the same things for different reasons.

"Either Toast's on Macaroni or this is really serious." Colon whispered to me. I nodded, eyes wide.

I inhaled deeply "Alright then... Let's get Ghost back!"
