The idea of floral portraits was, as ever, inspired by the lovely @/MindlessTyper.
The design belongs to me, but the character belongs to @/Horse_lover_0978.

I had, to be completely genuine, a really mixed time with this feller. The lighting was super fun to do really simply - it doesn't look all too good but I'm alright with that. The design was mine, and I liked doing it the first time anyway. I had a LOT of trouble with the eye, and I still really don't like how it ended up... On the other hand, the flowers were actually a blast (contrary to last time, where I had to draw thousands of dahlia petals), especially the irises - the patterns I chose were really nice to work on!

Overall, I'm pretty proud! I'm satisfied with the 'happy' look Fae wanted for the aesthetic of the piece, and the lighting is indeed quite dramatic. So, I hope you're alright with it! ^^

The flowers I used are some nice golden-yellow flowers, as the commissioner requested. There are two big ol' sunflowers, some light pastel daffodilies and a bunch of unique-looking irises, with a nice fiery pattern. The irises though- goodness, were they weird to figure out how to draw! Here's a closeup:

Also, let me explain the horrible quality of the face in general - the expression, the eyes, etc. - I am not, nowhere in the slightest, used to drawing horses of any kind. This is my first piece of proper digital horse art - any horse art at all in fact. So, please, don't tease me for it looking so bad TvT
