Once upon a time , there was a merchant named "Gul Khan" .

Gul khan lived with his three children and wife.  He also had a beautiful green parrot that was always locked in a cage.  Gul Khan never let his parrot outof the cage. The poor parrot has been always in captivity.

One day Gul Khan had to go to another city for some work. He asked his children that what toys they want him to buy for them? All three children put there demands.  One said a car, one said a doll and last one want a drawing book with colour pencil as well.  Gul Khan noted their demands and move towards his parrot and asked him if he wishes to have something . The parrot answer:

"Give my regards to my family and tell them that you all are roaming and spending life freely and here Iam living a life of imprisonment here". Gul Khan noted that too, and the next day he travelled to the other city.

On reaching the city and after completing his work, Gul Khan brought all the toys for his children and then walk towards a tree just beside the market.

Gul Khan stood under the huge tall tree on which lots of parrots were present .

Gul Khan delivered the massage given by his parrot and as soon as he finish saying a parrot which was seated on the top most branch of the tree fall on the ground like lifeless creature.

Gul Khan thought the parrot had died so without any thought he move away from there and left for his home.

Next day when he reached home he narrated the incident to his parrot.  Listening to this the parrot also fall in the cage breathlessly and died .

Gul Khan become sad and start preparing for his funeral. It was sad he really love his parrot alot.

When Gul Khan put the dead parrot on the ground. The parrot immediately come to his life and fly off and sit on a nearby wall.

The parrot laugh at Gul khan and told him that:

"The parrot who fall from the tree was from my family, he indirectly told me to do this act so that you think Iam dead just like you thought about him being dead, so that I can get out of the cage and see it worked".  The parrot laugh hard on Gul Khan and again said:

"Thankyou Gul Khan it was nice meeting you but now Iam going . I will try to miss you . Bye bye . Ta-Ta"

And just like that he got himself free from his caged life and freely fly away towards his family on the other hand poor Gul khan stood dumbfounded as he thought that he was fooled by his own parrot .
