John sighed to himself as he held Gage, gently. The small boy snoring peacefully as he rested in his father's arms. He stared at his sleeping face before looking up at the night sky. He felt the warm glow of the lights around him as he continued staring, not really thinking of anything in particular.

Felix opened the door and took a look outside. "John?" He asked softly as he took a step out and closed the door behind him. John flinched as he heard his voice, causing Felix to see him and walk over. "Hey John! Whatcha doing out here?" He smiled as he walked beside him and sat down. "Hey! Gagie" he cooed at the sleeping boy before looking at John. "Isn't he cold?"

John shook his head, "My um.. my body is warm.. for him" he cleared his throat, looking at the ground. Felix nodded, "I see" he hummed and put a hand on his back. John tensed up as Felix laid his head on his shoulder, "How come you haven't been sleeping in our room?" John took a couple of breaths before replying, "Guarding.. the room.. outside" he rubbed the back of his neck. "Y'know.. cause.. you escaped 'n all" he muttered softly. Felix hummed before nuzzling into his arm, "You're okay. You don't have to continuously protect us. Besides I don't want you to not meet Ty!" John pulled at his shirt before abruptly standing up, jolting Felix away. "So uh.. we're out of food again, right?" John kept himself from shaking, he swallowed the giant lump in his throat.

Felix furrowed his eyebrows in confusion before grabbing John's arm. "No? We have enough Johnny. You can relax." Felix pulled on him gently to sit down. "Are you upset because you scared Tyler? Did you think I was angry with you? I'm not Johnny. You don't have to run away from me" John shook before thrusting Gage into Felix's arms. The sleeping boy jolted awake before starting to cry, Felix jumped before immediately, rocking Gage.

John took this chance to spread out his wings and fly off into the air. Felix shielded himself and Gage from the blast as he watched John fly away, "John!!" He yelled out, knowing the dragon couldn't hear him.

Nat and Mike came out, worried as they saw Gage crying in Felix's arms, Felix staring at the ground, in thought. "What happened?" Mike asked before Felix looked at them. "I-I don't know" he admitted. "We.. were just talking and... I don't know what happened"

John wiped his face as he landed in a clearing. He sniffled, trying to stop the tears from falling. 'He doesn't care. He doesn't care!' He thought to himself. 'He doesn't care, how you feel' he shook his head, angrily. He growled softly, shifting into his dragon form before roaring loudly, scaring off anything and anyone in the area. Maybe hunting will let him blow off some steam.
