Pirate at the masked ball (Caleo)

   Calypso paced around her room. She was turning 17 in a few days, which means she'll have to be married. Thankfully, on her  deathbed, her mother had asked her stepfather, king Zeus, to give Calypso the choice of marrying who she wants. 

      When Calypso turned 13, he gave her to Lord Apollo to adopt her, telling him her mother's wish but turning it around. "When she turns 15, start looking for suitors. She must marry at 17, or Atlas' kingdom with perish. At 16, if she still hasn't chosen, hold a ball exactly 7 days before her 17th birthday. If she doesn't choose, marry her off on her 17th birthday. Exactly on her 17th birthday.
"Yes, sire," Apollo had said.

     As Calypso thought back to that day, her maids, Katie, Annabeth, and Piper, came running in. All except Hazel, whom was sick.

       "Madame Calypso, your father has ordered a ball!" Katie said out of breath.

        "He said to help you finish getting ready! Or get you ready," Annabeth said, noting Calypso's white casual Chiton, and gold sandals. They then ran to grab everything to fix her up. She hated that they did this.                     They would run around, and not let her help.

   She knew they didn't like being maids, but she and the maids loved each other dearly. She knew each had this job for a reason. Katie was working for money to bail out her husband, Travis, from jail. Annabeth did it for her husband Percy, whom had been in the Greek military, fighting off Monsters from Ogygia. Piper was doing it for Jason, Calypso's first friend, and technically her stepbrother. Piper wants to meet him again, by carriage ride, like a rich greek princess would. Hazel did it for her half Brother, Nico, son of King Hades, and for her best friend and crush, Captain Frank Zhang.
   Piper pulled out a pink chiton, a large, purple Italian toga, and a white that fades to brown then to black chiton. Calypso pulled the last one, as it only went to her ankles, and was more casual.
    Katie went to work on her hair, which she curled with soaking oil, and braided the dirty blonde curls. Katie intricately placed flowers and yellow jewels in her hair. They were in King Helios' kingdom, after all.
    Annabeth applied crushed berry lipstick on her. That was all that Annabeth needed to apply. Calypso ended up looking like this:

Calypso loved the way she looked. "Girls! Thank you so much!"

  "Your welcome, Caly," Piper said.

Calypso looked at her sun dial, and saw that it read almost evening. She told the maids that they were personally invited, to go get ready and meet her at the portrait Lord Will Solace, Lord Apollo's son.
