Cinderella
From Luke the Mouse's Perspective

As I live my life of the great Luke, an amazing mouse, I shall tell my everyday life. First I wake up and do my regular girl things such as apply my makeup, wash my face, take a shower, and brush my teeth. Doing all of these steps every day is very important to being a man-woman. Sometimes I meet my fellow lady friend, Gus, to go out to Starbucks with me after school. However, I am not much of a person for coffee. I always get my favorite Peppermint Hot Chocolate in the winter. Gus is boring. He just gets a boring ol' iced coffee because he's just boring. Boring people.

Once upon a time when my good friend Cinderella appears from under her bed because her stepsisters are making her scrub there with only a toothbrush. I text Gus and say, those gurls b treatin her soooo bad brunos. we needa help her. txt u ltr, pece.  That's exactly what he and I do. Gus gathers all his manly friends, Jaq, Gus, Bert, Luke, and his lady friends Mary, Suzy, and Perla. They all help me gather the materials for her dress and we make the most gorgeous dress for little Cinderella. Usually I'm not one for helping people, but seriously, I feel bad for this girl.

When we finished making the dress, we leave it on her bed so she'll get a surprise when she gets home from shopping for the old lady. Gus, all his friends, and I all go out for Starbucks once again. Nobody can have too much Starbucks. That's a rule in the teenage girl rulebook.

The next day, Gus and I hear the stepsisters chatting about this "amazing" ball thing that everyone apparently is talking about because this amazing prince is going to be there. Some woman who is there is going to marry the prince? Awwww little Cinderella could get married. Maybe she could get away from these people that way. We decide to look out her window and we see her spinning in circles and a fancy dress is getting bigger on her body as it goes. I guess this is what we get because we didn't give her her dress in enough time. Little Cinderella looks so gorgeous. Her dress is now fully on her and she is thanking the...air? Who or what is she talking to?

Cinderella strolls in happily and gives me a hug as well as Gus. "Where are the other mice?" She asks in her calming voice with a tone of happiness. We both shrug in response. Cinderella says to hug them for her, and explains how she will be going to the ball.
"So what went on outside?" Gus asks warily, obviously creeped out "you kind of acted odd,"
"I got a dress from a woman who called herself Great Grandmother!"
At this point Cinderella is excited. She leaves without another word.

"Gus." I declare
"You thinkin' what I'm thinkin' buddy?" Gus asks

I nod and we both head out onto the streets. We see Cinderella getting into a pumpkin wagon. I won't even question what that thing is. We both latch onto a bar on the back of the wagon/carriage thing and we get a grip on it good enough before the carriage starts moving. The wind glides through my silky but messy fur on my head. Gus seems to be enjoying this ride because he is lent back, still holding on, and is running a comb through his fur.

When we arrive at this ball thing, we have to hide from little Cinderella as she gets out. Gus and I scoot over to the side of the carriage so when she gets out she can't see us. Once she gets out and walking towards the door, we jump off the bar.

Gus and I stroll to the doorway and follow Cinderella. He and I are so close to the wall, we may as well hug it. Cinderella enters this large doorway, we can see a glimpse of the ballroom. There are ribbons hanging over metal bars surrounding the top of the room. Little Cinderella is looking uncomfortable once she enters the room. What a shame she wouldn't look like she belongs here that much if in her everyday clothes, but two mice wouldn't either. While we are heading into the ballroom, we don't quite make it in time. We are stuck outside of the doorway to enter the room.
"Gus, we can't make it,"
"Look over here!" Gus shouts from a distance.
Gus is standing by a rod. He grabs the steel rod and prys open the door. This is totally the most discreet way to open a door without getting caught. Some people are walking in and then running out screaming because they're seeing two mice in tuxedos prying open a door with a rod. Since that is what humans are afraid of, I guess.

Once we get the door open, we walk inside the highly decorated ballroom. Gus and I cling to the walls so we don't get caught. The only thing we see when we walk in, is Cinderella dancing with the prince and running away after she is done with the dance.
